Why would people have voted for Donald Trump in 2016? There must have been something very wrong in American politics for the people to elect a candidate that had no political experience. It appeared to be a mass rejection of Washington and the insular leadership that is embedded there. Trump’s election ignited a firestorm of retaliation that included using intelligence agencies to dispense a misinformation campaign designed to create a false picture of enemy collusion. The entire operation was illegal, and no one has paid any price for what most reasonable observers would call subversion and sedition to dismantle an election.

That still does not answer the question about why the people would put an inexperienced non-politician in charge of the only truly free democracy remaining on the planet. It appears that Washington is so contaminated and spoiled that no one coming from its midst can be trusted to represent actual people living real lives in real time. The landscape has become so poisoned with discordant identity politics that individual citizens are regarded by a power structure aristocracy as lowly cattle that must not be allowed to stray from the herd.

Trump is dangerous because he encourages strays that pose a renegade threat to a managed herd of groupthink. There is no democracy in a herd, there is only the crack of the whip that drives it. Trump’s election was seen by the controlling architects as a stampede of insolence and ingratitude for the magnificence of ideological central planning. There is no room for divergent thought in a herd mentality, it must be punished with branding.

Our colleges and universities are engaged in holocaust methodology marking Caucasian citizens as damaged by birth and infectious carriers of disease that must be segregated and separated from the herd like history’s Jews. Washington is using crafted, incited racial hatred as a vehicle to drive the herd away from democracy and toward socialism.

The sellout of real democracy was nearly complete before Trump broke up the herd. The reaction of the herd drivers was swift and sure and if successful will be decisive. Democracy will submit to the whip and the herd will be led to slaughter while the band plays endless selections of political correctness.

If Trump loses democracy will just be a word in the dictionary. If Trump loses, democracy will be dead. Long live democracy.

I agree with you. Trump has put a giant dent in democracy. And the rule of law. And just common decency. The man is fundamentally corrupt. And there are investigations because of it. They are all of his own making. All of his problems are. Trump is dangerous because he has no compass, moral or otherwise. He blows in the direction of the strongest wind. And it's usually only because it benefits him personally. Trump backed into the WH by the slimmest of margins after Democrats put forth an unpopular candidate. Even then, all she had to do was campaign until the end and not even Comey's email surprise would have tipped it. Sorry. If Trump loses, democracy...recovers. If you think the disaster of the last four years, punctuated by an abysmal response to a pandemic, deserves another four years, then I don't know what America you actually believe in.

I would add that Trump and Trumpism is analogous to a black spot you find on your lung. You need to deal with it immediately. It needs to be immediately excised. If you don’t, it will metastasize and kill the body.

And only that. Nothing Trump has done, is in any way a threat to democracy. If anything, his standing up to you and your pc bullshit and brownshirt mobs, is a great service to Democracy.

Now hold it one second.
Considering the fact that our politicians are crooked as Hell.....why would anyone vote for a career politician now?

Trump is not the one that did not respect the peaceful transfer of power. THat was the Left. The harm to our process and our institutions is from the undemocratic RESISTANCE to the duly elected President.

Democracy died with the republic when we became an empire long, long ago...
Ave Caesar...Imperator!

We may be on the same path as the Romans..and for the same reasons..factionalism--but we're not there--just yet.
If any of that crap were true....Savanna Guthre would be either dead today or looking for a job.
I know if she had treated Obama the way she treated Trump last night....she would be looking for a job by Saturday.

You got a short memory. I don't recall anyone on the Democrat side that night in 2016 saying that the election was "rigged" and the vote was tampered with. I don't remember any Democrat saying that they weren't going to respect the transfer of power. I remember Trump winning by 78,000 votes across three states which in my mind should have meant an automatic recount in those three states...and promptly shutdown by those three states (wonder why?). I remember the whole Russian allegations mysteriously not fully coming to light until AFTER the election. And then, I remember Trump making problem after problem for himself..why?...because he's fundamentally corrupt.

That's the dent in democracy. But as I see it, you don't care about democracy. You're quite comfortable living under a dictatorship of a strongman.

You people are the ones killing this country.

We are a Republic ruled within the framework of a Democracy. When 57% or more of those casting votes are exempt from financial liability resulting from legislative consequences then the evolutionary movement toward national socialism should be expected.
The saving hope was the educational system.
Teaching the youth the lessons of history and how to formulate unbiased opinions, based on fact, not someone’s interpretation of fact, the Republic would remain strong, however political ideology of those entrusted with the responsibility let their biases take precedence.

Again, link for me one article that had any Democrat saying they wouldn't respect the transfer of power (like Trump has), or say the election of 2016 was "rigged" (like Trump has).
And for the last time there is no such thing as SOFT coup!! Stop using this term. It's either a coup or it isn't. Trump made his own problems..and there were investigations because of it.
Hell, even Bolton knew Trump had fucked up when he got off the phone. But, no harm no foul. Nothing's touched your man, except his own incompetence and corruption.
A incompetent, corrupt President. That's the death of democracy.

Got it. You're making up lunatic stories about us to justify your own lust for a fascist coup against the democratically elected Biden admin..

What? You really thought it wasn't obvious?

Each time you push your fascism, we'll be here to point it out, because it's the morally right thing to do. The fact that it makes you cry is just a bonus.

When Trump bragged last night about ordering an extrajudicial killing of an American citizen, did that give you a major tingle up the leg? Of course it did. After all, that was fascist brownshirtism taken in the extreme direction that you want it to go. You no doubt have a serious hankerin' for more such death squads.

If you think the disaster of the last four years, punctuated by an abysmal response to a pandemic, deserves another four years, then I don't know what America you actually believe in.

Blah, blah, blah, orange man bad, we got it.

YOUR refusal to respect the peaceful transfer of power, is the "giant dent in democracy".

And only that. Nothing Trump has done, is in any way a threat to democracy. If anything, his standing up to you and your pc bullshit and brownshirt mobs, is a great service to Democracy.

I remember people like you talking about RESIST and coups and then launching an investigation based on lies told to a federal judge and spread by a media that is a bunch of traitors, leading up to an "impeachment" that was nothing but a soft coup attempt, while brownshirt mobs kill and burn in the streets and dem led police arrest people that defend themselves.

You people are the ones killing this country.

1. Link to them saying it? LOL!! We have seen you guys DOING it for the last 4 years!

2. Sure there is. A coup is an attempt to take control of the government normally by force. The impeachment was doing that, with lawyers and bullshit in place of troops and bullets.

People like YOU are the ones putting our REPUBLIC in danger, because of your own delusions created by the construct of Trump you have fabricated to justify your "by any means necessary" tactics of either removing him or making him unable to perform his duties.

You have never accepted his win in 2016, and it shows, and THAT shows far more contempt for our system and the people who voted for him than anything else you clowns make up to keep up your ORANGE MAN BAD bleating.

Which side has brownshirt mobs in the streets killing people and trying to intimidate them into voting for their candidate?

Your side.
;
YOu people are the fascists and when you do what you do, it is NOT the "right thing" to do.

My points were true. YOur side was clear that they would "resist" and then you went and "resisted" from the Halls of POwer all the way down to vicious mobs killing people in the streets.

And now you whine like faggots because we want to discuss your behavior? LOL!!!!

Cuckoo, cuckoo ... don't project your own fascist nature on to the loyal Americans. That's how you act and think, but it's not how lierals act. We are not like you.

You have never accepted his win in 2016,

As is al;ways the case, you lying about us only makes you look bad. You're telling that lie about us in an attempt to justify a fascist coup against the democratically elected Biden admin.

and it shows, and THAT shows far more contempt for our system and the people who voted for him than anything else you clowns make up to keep up your ORANGE MAN BAD bleating.

Every time you can't actually debate a liberal, which is every time, you scream "ORANGE MAN BAD" as a way of deflecting and running.

What, you thought it wasn't obvious as well? Your "ORANGE MAN BAD!" catchphrase Is just your excuse to cut and run.
