These protests are not going to be allowed to continue. We're too deep into the Statist / Marxist movement at this point.
How will they stop them?

1). They're going to make examples of people. Ruin them financially, discredit them and then give them insane jail sentences (kinda happening already.
2). Internet and cellular access is about to be "modified" to conveniently block certain groups of people. Yup...they can do it.
3). Use of brute force. They've done it before and me thinks they're about to ramp it back up. People are going to get killed for protesting peacefully.

I don't think so. Authoritarians may be authoritarians but they won't commit political suicide for temporary power. That's why the Communists in the US are not carrying out their plans to pack the courts or to make PR and DC states to fix the Senate for the party. It's way too unpopular with the citizenry.

Blind side? I've had angles, docks with no visual references (I want to find that architect and kick him), a dock with a fence about 60' from the door, and one where the only way in is to back off the road, then spin the trailer-backward-180 degrees while getting as close as possible to a storage trailer. At that stop, if you don't think you're going to hit the trailer, stop and realign, you're too far out.

My first week with another driver, I got to thread a 36' trailer through a city laid out in the 18th century. (And full of low bridges.) City drivers get REALLY good an backing up...we have to!

We do it ten times more than OTR drivers. But going straight they beat us out. Many times in slippery snowy weather I'm taking it easy and they fly by me 30 mph faster than I can go. Of course unlike them I got paid by the hour.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. I found out long ago the secret to backing up big, long trailers: rear view mirrors. Always. Above and beyond the cameras.

In a tractor-trailer there are no rear view mirrors, only side mirrors with blind spots that don't help shit. Once you can no longer see the back of that trailer the rest is experience and imagination.

So we’re finally seeing a genuine, bottom-up, working-class revolution. In Canada, and increasingly in the United States, truckers and others are refusing to follow government orders, telling the powerful that, in a popular lefty formulation, if there’s no justice, there’s no peace.
Naturally, the left hates it.
For more than a century, lefties have talked about such a revolt. But if you really paid attention, the actual role of the working class in their working-class revolution was not to call the shots — it was to do what it was told by the “intellectual vanguard” of the left.
A working-class revolution led by the working class is the left’s worst nightmare because the working class doesn’t want what the left wants. The working class wants jobs, a stable economy, safe streets, low inflation, schools that teach things and a conservative, non-adventurous foreign policy that won’t get a lot of working-class people killed. It’s not excited about gender fluidity, critical race theory, “modern monetary theory,” foreign adventures and defunding police.

Once again, Biden’s main source of support is the press, which will always back a Democrat, especially against working-class opposition.

Truckers have figured that out. Right now Justin Trudeau and Joe Biden are worrying about truckers coming out. They should really worry about truckers staying home.

Deplorables or Democrats with sense have been congenial to what has happened the last 15 years or so. No matter the propaganda otherwise. What you and your leftist ilk don't understand is when people have had enough, they've have had enough. This is what the Canadian government is learning now. There is only so far you can push people.

I can't speak for what truckers have to put up with in Canada, but apparently enough to make this vaccine nonsense the last straw. I can speak about what's going on in this country, and because of bureaucratic tyranny, they make it harder and harder for drivers to make a living. In fact we are short 11,000 drivers in this country right now, and that number will continue to grow as we baby boomers head for retirement.

So what's in store this year for drivers? Starting this month, if you want to drive a truck, you must now attend government classes in spite of the training you paid for or learned from your employer. Even if you already drive and want to upgrade from a straight truck to tractor-trailer, you have to take this idiotic class.

There are plans for a US trucker strike. When we bring our trucks to a halt, we bring the country to a halt and I hope it happens next month as planned. I want to see what people do when there are no places to buy things. No food, empty Walmart stores, no place to buy a new car. Maybe then people will support this fight against authoritarian government.

There's a reason why the training spends almost no time teaching how to drive forward, and virtually all its time teaching how to back up. I remember learning how to parallel park the truck. I was lucky enough to never encounter a loading dock that required it, but I was told that Boston was infamous for them.

And obsessively watching everything that happens in your side mirrors, so that you know who's probably in your blind spot before they get there. I still drive by imagining the stupidest thing the cars around me could possibly do and expecting them to do it, just so that any surprises are happy ones.

To this day, I still hardly use my rearview mirror, because I'm so used to working off of the side mirrors.
