Dear Colin norris I interpret clay and dust to mean we are physically made from materials in the physical world.I'm expected to believe a man was made from clay from the earth and you wonder why I'm not bad mouthing a ghost about that?
Are you completely bonkers?
It didn't happen you fool. Grow up.
Like carbon based life. DNA and energy particles in this world.
Given the Bible was passed down from ancient times, the language is going to be symbolic and not literal or technical.
If people like you have no connection or faith at all in the Bible, I find it best to stick with very general and useful interpretations, such as interpreting Jesus to Represent the process of Justice overcoming Injustice which attempts to kill and destroy it, yet Justice comes back and prevails anyway as the only thing sustainable and eternal. Peace is the Holy Spirit that comes with Justice.
No Justice No Peace.
The Truth sets us free from misery caused by injustice and selfish greed and bias which causes human sin or karma to repeat in retributive cycles, kicking the can down the road for future generations, until we unite and agree to stop the destruction and collaborate on solutions by Restorative Justice which is the closest term I know to explain what Christ Jesus means to saving humanity.
The biggest lesson and key in Christianity that makes the most critical difference is Forgiveness: This allows us to break past patterns and cycles of abuse, oppression, even addiction, instead of staying stuck in resentment attached to the past. When we all agree to receive Forgiveness and Correction, this allows healing of heart, mind and body, as well as relations, institutions and nations. Faith in forgiveness and correction to right all wrongs and heal all people, individually and collectively, is the true calling and faith in Christianity that makes it central and universal for all humanity.
