Thought For The Day by John Jaeger, MBA

"The simple fact is that when I took up my little sling and aimed at Communism, I also hit something else. What I hit was the forces of that great socialist revolution, which, in the name of liberalism, spasmodically, incompletely, somewhat formlessly, always in the same direction, has been inching its ice cap over the nation for two decades. ...[T]hough I knew it existed, I still had no adequate idea of its extent, the depth of its penetration or the fierce vindictiveness of its revolutionary temper, which is a reflex of its struggle to keep and advance its political power." - “Witness”, by Whittaker Chambers, ex-communist

"I've come to believe there is little, if any, honesty in the media, and ethic is a word they are totally unfamiliar with." -- Ronald Reagan (January 13, 1983 letter to Larry Beilenson

[How much more dishonest and unethical have the media gotten in forty-one years since Reagan penned that observation! I posted this letter from www.books.google.com to prevent Leftists such as White 6 from claiming it is just another fabrication. Leftists don't mind lies one bit as long as they besmirch Republicans whom they despise with utterly evil intent]

"The most fundamental fact about the ideas of the political left is that they do not work. Therefore, we should not be surprised to find the left concentrated in institutions where ideas do not have to work in order to survive." - Thomas Sowell

Jesus responds to Pontius Pilate about the nature of his kingdom: "My kingdom is not of this world. If my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have been fighting, that I might not be delivered over to the Jews.

But now (or 'as it is') my kingdom is not from the world" (John 18:36); i.e., his religious teachings were separate from earthly political activity. This reflects a traditional division in Christian thought by which state and church have separate spheres of influence.

This can be interpreted either a Catholic, or Thomist, way (Gelasian doctrine) or a Protestant, or Lockean, way (separation of church and state).

"One of the best ways to get yourself a reputation as a dangerous citizen these days is to go about repeating the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the great struggle for independence." --American historian Charles A. Beard (1874-1948)

[Democrats have magnified this truth by at least an order of magnitude since Charles Beard penned it, in their efforts to destroy America.]

My daily prayer:

Heavenly Father, You know my abilities better than I do. Give me work to do today to help as many people as possible, in as important a way as possible, to please You and help them.

There is a very famous quotation that I think goes something like this, except I will add to it at the end:

"You can fool some of the people some of the time. You can fool all of the people all of the time. But you can't fool me."

That's my story and I'm stickin' with it.

The Democrat National Convention has confirmed his vision unequivocally.

I once told a fairly young rape victim who referred to herself constantly as “victim” that “you are NOT a victim.” Her counselor was in the room at that moment but remained silent as I continued.

I told her that she HAD BEEN a victim. But this was NOT the same as now “being” a victim.

Her counselor stepped in to agree with me.

The young lady was empowering herself as well as helping others if she would agree to testify for the People at the defendant’s then pending trial. The young lady then agreed to read it despite obvious fears and concerns.

I believe she did thereby empower herself.

I believe that helped define her future.

The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, it is the illusion of knowledge. - Daniel J Boorstin, historian, professor, attorney, and writer. He was the 12th Librarian of the United States Congress from 1975 - 1987

[ Illusion of knowledge perfectly describes left-wing atheist extremists, the counterparts of "right wing religious extremists," such as our Founding Fathers. ]

Isaiah 5:20: Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;

[What "evil"? Homosexuality, which Leftists celebrate with "Pride Month."
If you dare to condemn this evil, they simply call you "bigot" and that should convert you, if you are so cowardly. Eighty thousand and more young boys were molested by homosexuals in the Boy Scouts after the courts made them let in homosexual scoutmasters. Lawsuits cost $2.4 billion, driving the Boy Scouts bankrupt.

Abortion, the murder of innocent, unborn babies, which Leftists relabel "choice," when the unborn new life has no "choice," and neither does the baby's father, many of whom are in prison for killing unborn babies. Scott Peterson is the best known example. Leftists bristle at the "choice" practiced in China when that country had the One Child Policy and girls were wantonly aborted by the millions. Some "choices" are all right with Leftists. School "choice," for everyone, not so much, but for their own children - the Obamas, the Gores, the Clintons, school "choice" was wonderful.]

Our immigration policy is focused in four areas: First, strengthening border control; second, protecting American jobs by enforcing laws against illegal immigrants at the workplace; third, deporting criminal and deportable aliens; fourth, giving assistance to states who need it, and denying illegal aliens benefits for public services or welfare. - William J. Clinton

I am opposed to abortion and to government funding of abortions. We should not spend state funds on abortions because so many people believe abortion is wrong. – Wiliam J. Clinton

In a letter to Arkansas Right to Life, September 26, 1986.

In your youth, avoid sin and selfishly hurting others with all of your power, for the memories of them will haunt you terribly, but there is nothing you can do to correct them. - John Phillip Jaeger

C.S. Lewis was a world-class literary critic. When reading the gospels, he noted:

I have been reading poems, romances, vision literature, legends, and myths all my life. I know what they are like. I know none of them are like this. – The Reason for God - Belief in an Age of Skepticism, by Timothy Keller, p 106

“Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. It is in vain to say that democracy is less vain, less proud, less selfish, less ambitious, or less avaricious than aristocracy or monarchy. It is not true, in fact, and nowhere appears in history. Those passions are the same in all men, under all forms of simple government, and when unchecked, produce the same effects of fraud, violence, and cruelty. When clear prospects are opened before vanity, pride, avarice, or ambition, for their easy gratification, it is hard for the most considerate philosophers and the most conscientious moralists to resist the temptation. Individuals have conquered themselves. Nations and large bodies of men, never.” – John Adams, 2nd U.S. President

The Führer has always shielded my consistent stance over the years, to the extent he could do so, given his position. Now, with a laugh, he repeatedly emphasized that he has been a pagan all along, and the time has come when the Christian poisoning is approaching its end. - Alfred Rosenberg Diary.
