Apparently, according to the first, original, Christ-founded Church, you can be spirit-filled all you want but if you are not in CHRIST's Church, you won't make it. Didn't Jesus tell us clearly that FEW make it? He said FEW find the Narrow Way.

A lot of people won't convert to Catholicism because it would mean an upheaval in their personal lives somehow. Their families would disown them or whatever.

They reject the narrow way for the way of the world, the flesh and the devil. So it's no wonder almost everyone ends up in Hell (according to canonized saints... and scripture: Mt 7:14, Luke 13:24..)

Jesus made no mention of the name over the church door when He said that. All who follow Jesus are His, and it simply doesn't matter what name is on the church door.

They also have no need to convert to Catholicism and take on the heavy yoke of tradition and compulsion when Jesus said His yoke is easy and His burden is light.

Assuming you actually get to stand before God, you'd better have a speech prepared telling Him that He made a mistake and all those icky Protestants don't belong there. Make sure to demand a "Catholics only" room for yourself. Just make sure you're not in the group He kicks out because they cited a whole bunch of deeds, but He never knew them.

Well, the Word says (paraphrase) to deal with a heretic but if he refuses to give up the heresy, take the matter to another believer and if he refuses to listen to the other believer, take the matter to the Church and if he refuses to listen to the Church, treat him as an unbeliever..

Interesting that you admit I am a believer, and thus equal in the Body to yourself. If what you've been spouting is true, I'm not even a believer and thus wouldn't fall under what you're proposing. Have you really thought this through?

Plenty of Romans take the sacrements and go to church and Mass who are not believers. You always have the fakes in the Church. Jesus had His Judas. So what? It doesn't take away from the one who does believe.

Yeh, Protestants are not terribly self-aware much of the time. I've met some open minded ones, and they were a joy to behold. Too bad I didn't get contact info from this one I'm thinking of, which was something like 6 years ago.

But anyhow, they do the following (anti-Catholic protesters, that is):

1) accuse Catholics of following the pope and not Jesus. Then they quote their pastor's talking points ad nauseum instead of thinking for themselves/interpreting scripture for themselves...

2) bring up the Inquisition incessantly (which they never seem to fully understand) and act like Catholics did horrible things to people (most of which stories are false), but conveniently forget (or don't bother to learn in the first place) that Protestants in history murdered Catholics just for celebrating Mass..

3) claim to go by the Bible but believe things that are (surprise, surprise) not in the Bible

As to that last, I mostly speak of Once Saved Always Saved, which if one believes and lives by that false doctrine, one will end up in Hell. That's because all through the Bible, which I have actually read, it says we will be judged by our actions. Read the Book of Revelation. Luther was the idiot who came up with this "sin all you want, you can't lose your salvation" garbage...

So they follow a man and not Jesus, which is what they accuse Catholics of...

The only true doctrine to get to heaven is believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. If you believe, you are born again and heaven is your home.

If you don't believe, you can take all the sacrements you want, and you will still go to hell. True belief, and faith are the key. Not the sacrements.

Yes, Jesus said his followers would be hated because of Him. The Roman church is not hated because of Him. It is hated because it is opposed to Him.

I would say the Christian Church in any Muslim country is hated far more than the extremely wealthy, extremely powerful Catholic Church.

Jesus was likely referring to the world during the church age. Most will have their opportunity for life during the millennial reign of Christ. OTOH maybe they will just die away forever. TBD.

The RCC is hated by many because of its history, past and recent. It is still the "image" of the "beast" in structure and grandeur. The pedophilia of the celibate priesthood is abhorrent.

He defines what the true church is, he decides where it's located, AND he decides who is in it. Very convenient.
