One goes to Hades( Sheol) = the grave at death to await the resurrection which occurs after the great tribulation and Gods day of anger. Few go in the first resurrection which occurs before those events.

I agree that it is a minority who will be in the First Resurrection when the Bride of Messiah and the guest at the Wedding Supper of the Lamb are gathered from all nations.

What do you personally think of the following idea that I was told over forty years ago?

.... "Around 1980 an assistant pastor came to Halifiax, Nova Scotia who had recently graduated from Ambassador College. At the campus that he was at was a copy of the Eighth Century Edition of the Roman Catholic Encyclopaedia.

A friend of his knew how to translate that version of Latin into English and he chose the article "The Anti-Christ." This article predicted that in the latter days Jesus would come first and things would be going great but then the "Anti-Christ" would come to the earth and throw "Jesus" into hell. Pretty soon the whole world would go very Jewish.

People would soon be observing the Seventh Day Sabbath and avoiding eating pork and other unclean meats. The veneration of Mary would become less and less and less common.

If you think about it this article from the Roman Catholic Encyclopaedia explains a lot about why Christianity tended to be anti-Semitic from the beginning. That article does fit with lots of scriptures in the Bible though."
