Hmmmmm, TSTA might disagree with you.Teachers' unions have no power in the vast majority of the school districts nationwide. They are unions in name only. Did you know there are no teachers' unions in the state of Texas?
Teachers' unions do not set policy. they negotiate contracts and try to influence policy by threatening to strike if their demands are not met in regard to those policies and compensation. Compensation is off the board in most districts that do not have the right to strike.
