The founding fathers knew that future generations would certainly be corrupt. When it reached that point the Constitution would no longer be serviceable.

There is no problem. The argument over the meaning is not plebes, it's the elite trying to alter the meaning so they can take control.

Because they're constitutional and not absolute. The British got to where it was due to being absolute, then along came the parliament idea, the Monarchy went constitutional, and it's been tits up ever since.

Constitutional just means they rubber stamp what parliament wants, even the MP writes the Kings/Queens speech. They are also Head of State for the UK and Commonwealth countries. As you know the US president is your head of state, and depends on which president you like/dislike, he represents you when visiting abroad. Imagine watching TV and there's Biden wandering around stage lost, shaking hands with invisible people, representing you?

The only thing the King/Queen can really do is dissolve parliament. He/she has the Royal Prerogative, but most of it is consulted with ministers through the privy council. And another gap in American's knowledge, Brits were subjects to the Monarchy until the 1940's, and then it only applied to Commonwealth citizens till 1984ish. The only ones that are subjects and have to pledge allegiance to the King/Queen are the MP's, if you don't, you can't be an MP and enter the commons.

But if you can get that to stick in the empty heads of a few on here, I'll post you a medal. What they need to do is get a passport and leave their parents basement and go visit the UK. They should do the parliament and Buckingham Palace tour and pick up some leaflets. The perceptions of many Americans and the actual Monarchy is often worlds apart.

US Brits always hope Americans don't visit, they're generally uncouth arseholes, no offence of course.

All I can suggest to Brits visiting the US, keep out of towers so their Muslims don't fly into you, and keep out of schools or you will get shot.

Many fellow Americans are embarrassed with those, like you, that have poor to zero knowledge of anything outside of US borders and the likes of what CNN preach.

So it's you and the group that you represent that give Brits their impression of the US, much to many American's dismay. I've been to the US about half a dozen times and I only through clichés about to the US to those few American retards that throw Brit clichés first.

And go check out the thread on why do some yanks have a fetish for Muslims. It's weird and freakish. In the US most atrocities will be committed by atheists, so where's the mouth frothing over atheists? And you have the cheek to use the word inbred!!

I think the only thing they had in mind was/were/are "rights" with intelligence [or lack of] be damned...
The rest of the democracies around the world and down through history had majority rule as absolute, meaning the rights of those who had other wants/needs were dismissed and even trampled but the founding fathers/framers saw freedoms quite differently...
So they outlined what they felt were absolute freedoms under any form of government where even a vote could not remove them constitutionally and the idea was that if we are going to err/make mistakes it should be on the side of freedom(s), not authority, with a living breathing document that is the life blood of an ever-evolving constitution, when that is threatened and words fail we have been given the uninfringed means [the right] to armed insurrection against those who would deny us our constitutional rights...that is the guarantee built into the system.
