When did I say that? If you are born a Jew (to a Jewish mother), you remain a Jew all your life no matter what you do - even if you worship a mortal man. You are simply no longer a practicing Jew.

Yes, Paul Newman identified as Jewish and was born to a Jewish father and a non-Jewish mother.
