What is righteousness? Is there really "good" and "bad"?

Leftists are known for saying that they don't believe in a God, so they claim there is no such thing as sin.........................that is..................until Orange man.

Then all of a sudden, he is the worst human being on the planet, including Hitler himself. In fact, Orange man is soooo bad, Christians should be ashamed of themselves for ever voting for him.

Hilarious.

So, now is your chance to tell us who is righteous and who is not based on your political and/or religious views.

Go!!!

Feel free to add to the list.

Of course, being a Christian, I pick Jesus.

Here is a man who never killed anyone, never raped anyone, never even was on record as having lied to anyone.

Here is a man who never ran for political office. In fact, when a group of people tried to make him king after feeding them with the miracle of a loaf of bread and a few fish to feed thousands, he said no.

He focused instead on serving others, all the way to his death.

He did not even write about himself, he let others do that which is why we have 4 different accounts of him known as the gospels.

There is a reason why virtually all religions on earth tell us that Jesus was a man of God and/or God in the flesh. It seems like they all want a piece of Jesus. In fact, even Hitler claimed to be a Christian as funny as that seems

Truly, there has never been anyone like him.

Toss up between Buddha and Ghandi.

I never met or know them personally so that is just speculation
nobody really knows who is alive today that I know of

If you are just going by good deeds, well you would need a compared list of evidence
so it's fair

Toss up between Buddha and Ghandi.
How is Buddha and Ghandi more righteous than Christ?

What is your reasoning?

In fact, Ghandi is on record as saying that he did not like Christians, because they were not Christ like enough in his opinion.

Jesus, Buddha and Ghandi are123.

Mohammad has to rank last for being responsible for so much hatred in the world for 1400 years.
Mo has more issues than just spreading hatred.

He was also a pedophile. The debate within Islam is, when did he consummated his marriage to the 6 year old girl he married? Was it when she was only 6 or was it when she was 9? Here is a news alert, who the hell cares cuz he was a pedo either way!!!

And then there is the little incident of lopping off heads of people simply because they refused to convert to his religion and being a second-rate warlord. This is why countries that lead the world in terrorism are all Islamic. It is the gospel of jihad and spreading Sharia to the rest of the world, which can only be done via military conquest.

Yea, I have no idea how the world turned Islam into a legitimate religion when their founder was a confirmed pedophile. It truly is mind boggling. I guess the world figured that there are so damned many of them, that it was either pretend they are a legitimate religion or get blown to hell by them for calling Mohammad what he really was. Courage is a rare commodity after all.

To me it is very troubling that the only countries that you can marry off a child who is less than 15 years of age are Islamic countries. Why? Because of Mo and his example. And if you think that the little 6 year old was his first and/or his last one, I have a bridge I would like to sell ya.

So, there you have it. Mohammad is responsible for death and pedophilia during his life, and the billions of followers that mimic his example for thousands of years thereafter.

Truly he was an evil man.

I think that explains it.

Who is a more righteous man?

First you need to define what you mean by 'righteous,' then you need to add multiple choice, because there are a few on your list whom might be considered righteous beyond the obvious choice, and no way to put the list in order when you can only pick one.

liar ...

whatever they think allows for their claim for righteousness - there is nothing in any of the desert religions recorded history to allow for them to claim such a title or so presumptuous to include themselves in such a discussion -

jesus is no where found in the crucifiers 4th century christian bible and as such makes a mockery of all three of those religions w/ the same preamble of phony moses commandments in their documents used to persecute and victimize the innocent.

Truly, no one here hates the Bible as much as you do.

You win a cookie in that regard

So, in you humble opinion, who would you consider righteous?

Indeed. What does it mean to be "righteous"?

What say you?

Please refer to Buddha as Siddhartha in this case. Siddhartha is who he was before he set out on his do-or-die quest to find God within himself. Buddha was not the person, Buddha was the goal.

15th post
Jesus is the creator of this world and is one among the Godhead that we call God. He is the only human being to come to this earth and live a perfectly sinless life and set the example for all others on the list and for all mankind. He is the redeemer of all mankind of which none of the others on the list could fit the bill since all other have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Only in and through Jesus can any of the others be saved into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life.

Indeed, Siddhartha, or the Buddha, was on a quest to find God, but only Jesus showed us who God really is.

Indeed. What does it mean to be "righteous"?
What say you?

"Righteousness" comes in degrees, both of quality, aspect, and quantity. From the enlightened sadhu, disciple, pilgrim or aspirant, to the bonefide embodiment of some discreet, manifest, holy embodiment sent from the Supreme.
