The largest transfer of wealth in the history of the world...

It's not even government for crying out loud. Anyway socialism anywhere but terminally confused English speaking countries is simply Fair capitalism with a good safety net like every country in the modern world has except the United States. Thanks scumbag GOP and silly dupes like you....

Socialism means that the people are all part of businesses instead of employees thereof, and heavily controlled by the government.

If you want Socialism, then you need to move to a Socialist or dictatorship country. If you don't want to move, there are places in the US that have your leftist desires; a place where nobody is rich except the government, nobody has firearms except the government, free healthcare, work is optional, even your food is chosen for you.

We call these places prisons. They are not very hard to get into, and they're full of other Democrats as well.

Are not the following words depressingly true?

The Institute for Policy Studies has just released a new analysis showing that since the start of the Covid-19 “pandemic” in mid-March and the subsequent transfer upwards of $5 trillion to the wealthy and largest corporations through the Cares Act, approved 96-0 in the U.S. Senate, 650 U.S. billionaires have gained over a trillion dollars in eight months as the America people have suffered an economic catastrophe. This shift upward of massive wealth under Trump is similar to Obama’s massive 2009 bailout of the banks on the backs of American workers. Both were justified through feats of legerdemain by both political parties, accomplices in the fleecing of regular people, many of whom continue to support the politicians that screw them while telling them they care.

If the Democrats and the Republicans are at war as is often claimed, it is only over who gets the larger part of the spoils. Trump and Biden work for the same bosses, those I call the Umbrella People (those who own and run the country through their intelligence/military/media operatives), who produce and direct the movie that keeps so many Americans on the edge of their seats in the hope that their chosen good guy wins in the end.

The Past Lives On: The Elite Strategy To Divide and Conquer – Edward Curtin
Of course the bailout of the banks was tarp under George w bush and the GOP who caused the great recession with their usual corrupt deregulation bubble and bust. Great job! Obama stimulus was for main Street and worked great except it was probably too small. Little did they know they would be up against total ridiculous GOP obstruction for 8 years.... Change the channel
The blind partisan.

The only two parties in power since before the 1900s have been Republicans and Democrats. They have both written and passed laws that have hurt the American workers, yet partisans are still blind and unwilling to admit their party is 50% responsible, this attitude just leads to the problem getting worse.
Exactly right. These damn fool partisans are the reason why have had corrupt people in power. Yet they are too feeble minded to recognize this.
Try the real world sometime. the only people in prison for governmental corruption are Republicans. All your phony scandals against Democrats are pure balderdash. All of them!
You are nothing but a big joke. To think the Rs are solely responsible, is utterly mad.

Ears was a continuation of W. We got Don because Ears sucked so bad. No one expected the black guy to be only for the rich, while committing mass murder in numerous MIC demanded wars.
And that was after he was paid $1 million for a Nobel peace prize before he did anything, which he failed to do anyway. What a fucking scam.

Everything that's happening right now is the MIC trying to wrestle back power.
The world was so happy to not have to deal with George w idiot bush . The same thing will probably happen with Biden. The world cannot believe what idiots and scumbags the GOP are....
Then the world got Ears, who turned out to be W’s blood brother from a different mother.

Who knew? The two biggest crisis in America and the rich got richer while the rest of America suffered. Right now the government has helped people delay payments and loans up to three months, really nice, except the interest continues to grow and continues to accumulate and it adds many more months to pay things off. What is sad is we allow this to happen because we vote in the crooks that give our money to the rich. I’m not one for handouts but I’m certainly against the rich getting handouts, especially when we can help so many Americans at their time of need.
That’s the problem. The rich getting handouts, while the people get screwed. Amazingly many who are getting screwed by this criminal scam, don’t even see it. In fact, some ignorantly fully approve.
I don't know of any business owner who approves of the government forcing them to shudder their doors or takes their capacity from 100 to 10.

There is nothing wrong with people gaining massive wealth. There is EVERYTHING wrong with the government telling Americans who is allowed to work to attain that wealth.

There are restaurants and bars who spent tens of thousands to build outdoor eating/drinking spaces to accommodate the draconian rules only to have those spaces shut down as well.

There are plenty of places in the world that doesn't have our capitalist system. You should move to one of these places for a while and try it out first. Capitalism made us the wealthiest and most successful country in just a few hundred years.
You're wasting keystrokes telling me to love it or leave it.

No economic system in history has done a better job of generating wealth by exploiting human labor than capitalism, and few have done a worse job of distributing the wealth.

‘The Communist Manifesto’ and the Penultimate Contradiction.

"4. 'Political centralisation' of the 'means of production'.

"Capitalism concentrates economic and political power into the hands of the few, instead of power being decentralised and economic wealth being equally distributed among the mass population.

"5. "An acknowledgement that Capitalism 'created more massive and more colossal productive forces than have all preceding generations together'.

"Marx makes it clear that he is almost in awe at how effective Capitalism is at creating ridiculous amounts of wealth, and again alludes to Historical Materialism by comparing it to past epochs"

It is clear that no matter which party is in power republicans or democrats the rich have got richer. Basically, because we buy crap. Walmart was a great example of the transfer of wealth. Think of what you have bought in the last year. Do you still have it? Are the economy is based on buying and buying. Most of it is crap, unneeded.
Of course, if we split all the money evenly between people on earth it would not take a year or two for there to be a one percent group with most of the money again.

Democrats are not socialist and Trump is not a republcain

Gipper,

You are right... But Democrats had the gun to their head, to help people at all they needed the cares act... McConnell was the one that add in the Corporate welfare bill. Democrats had to accept that or not help normal Americans.. The bill going through right now has the same amount of Corporate welfare.
Blaming Democrats for this is not fair, McConnell obsession with Big Corps and lobbyists is stomach churning. Be fair and check it out...

This is not to say Democrats are perfect but on this one the GOP and McConnell are the ones who pushing it...

The choice is complete deadlock or this..

That would make for terrible decisions. I would never want to be an owner where everyone has an equal voice. That would mean that company plans and goals would be ever changing and the course of a business would lead to disaster as people don’t know how to properly run businesses in general, let alone specific fields.

Not buying it, the Dems controlled the House and just like today, the Hoise members are sticking to their guns. Look at 2008, another case of Both parties pushing wealth transfer. Why is it that every bad decision the two parties blame each other for passing a bad bill. I’m tired of the excuses, both sides should take responsibility for their votes and their actions. These are adults, not little kids, You make the Democratic sound like weak little know nothings. Look at the excuses that the Democrats have given since Reagan. Over the last 40 years Reagan gets the blame and the poor weak Democrats have been powerless to fix any of it! Not buying into the BS, if the Democrats have been so weak and useless for the last 40 years, maybe it’s time to find a stronger party to belong to. One with back bone, one that will take responsibility for their votes that have favored the rich. The rich, write laws for the rich and Congress proves that everyday. Democrat or Republican.

I have one word for your piece: Hogwash. It's extremely outdated and has little to do with our society today.

Capitalism is an economic system that anybody can participate in, and usually do. It's a system of reward for efforts. We use it on our children and animals alike.

If you are unhappy with your job, then you find another one. If you find your skill set is worth less than what makes you happy, you have the option to improve your skill set or become a capitalist yourself by opening up your own business. People do it all the time. Those who don't want to invest in an education open up their own lawn care business. If you have the ability, you can attend a trade school. You can learn a number of construction professions and start your own asphalt or roofing company. You can learn HVAC and start your own heating and cooling business. Learn how to drive a tractor-trailer and buy your own truck. You can do a number of things.

We no longer live in a time where wealth is impossible to accumulate, and we have no choice but to be a slave to our employers. You are either rich or you are poor, and you have no option to change that. It's all a lie. It may have been true in the Marx piece he was commenting on, where people could only provide food and shelter for their hard work. But today, our so-called poor have smart phones. They have big screen televisions, cable television, video games, air conditioners and microwave ovens.

The one part in your article I will agree with is that if a person doesn't want to work a job for X wages, somebody else will; workers compete with each other thus lowering pay. That is true in challenging economic times. In good economic times, like we just left before the virus, employers compete for employees having the opposite effect. It's called supply and demand. It's almost a perfect system if we could keep Democrats out of power who usher in immigrants to take our work so employers don't have to compete for it.

Nothing wrong with stock buybacks. Government doesn't transfer wealth, consumers do. Letting somebody keep more of the money they made is not transferring anything. The only people that look at tax breaks as government transferring money are those who believe all money belongs to government, and how much of your money government allows you to keep is a gift from them to you.

If you and I were neighbors, and once a month when you took your dog out for his daily half-hour walks, I would go into your house and steal 100 dollars. It's only fair. You make much more money than I do. After a while I felt a little guilty, so when I decided I would only take 80 dollars instead of 100, did I just give you 20 dollars a month?

What part of democracy scares you the most?

What part of democracy scares me the most? The idea that you can vote to have government take another persons money and give it to you. Our founders realized that as well, which is why they created a Republic and not a Democracy, and why they thought only those with a dog in the race should be allowed to vote.

Do you want to be part of your company; share in their profits and losses? Then buy stock in your company. If you can find one anymore, work for a place that provides profit sharing as a benefit. You can start your own company with several friends or family members. There are a number of employee owned companies in the US.

If I save my money, give up a lot of things in life to finally start my own company, I have to buy or lease a building, buy the machines to make my product, retrofit it to my needs. I have to buy a tow motor to load and unload trucks. I have to buy workman's compensation and unemployment insurance for my future employees. It's a huge financial risk. It can make me or break me. Now you come along for a job, and expect that I equally share in my profits because you consider that equality? If that were the case, why would I take such risks? I would just work for somebody else, if there was anybody to work for.

Bailouts are not a capitalistic concept. That means corporations can make poor decisions on investing or saving profits (ie giving CEOs millions) Even in bad years, then when a terrible year comes they get bailed out, so still do lose. That is not capitalism, that is keeping a continuing transfer of wealth going.

Yep, the government created the problem. By officials taking bribes. The political system is broke, we need to rid our selves of the two corrupt parties.
It is hard to understand how Americans can be deluged with dozens of brands of toothpaste in the supermarket, yet we are supposed to be satisfied with two political parties.

There was a recent election in Ukraine which replaced 90% of incumbents in a single news cycle; what if it happened here?
It’s clear to some of us that the two party system is really a one party scam.
Why? You want the government to do what the republicans want. They’ve been pretty successful since bush 2 pushing a lot of heritage foundation type legislation. Conservative judges?

Quit being a little bitch. You can’t always have your way.

And isn’t America great? I thought trump made America great. Not really?
If you call success having another corrupt deregulation bubble and bust economic meltdown and the worst inequality and upward mobility in our history, great job!
Exactly. And look at how republicans complained obamas 80 straight months of growth after bush’s great recession wasn’t good enough. What did trump give us? Just about the same growth as Obama, maybe slightly better because trump passed massive tax breaks. But those tax breaks only further widened the gap between rich and poor.

And then it was how trump handled the pandemic in the beginning that created the recession that still exists today. 11 straight months of job losses? Trump lied to us and the virus spread. Then he mocked people who wear masks and social distance. So trump and his supporters have been the ones spreading the virus.

We should have all quaranteened for 2 months and trump shouldn’t have faught with Fauci or suggested we invest bleach. Trump failed after Obama handed him a great economy.

Today republicans blame the virus. Sorry, trumps in charge not the virus

US Billionaires Surpass $1 Trillion in Wealth Gains During Pandemic as Essential Workers and Others Suffer

I'm failing to see the "wealth transfer".....please enlighten us.
Are you trying to say you don't think people should be responsible for choosing their own career paths and the financial status comes with said paths?
I'm sure I'm missing something simple...teach us.
If your system that you call capitalism is failing the masses and only benefiting the top 1% maybe it's just another ISM.
"Failing" is subjective.
How is capitalism "FAILING" the masses?
Isn't Democrat policy "failing the masses"....aren't you begging illegals to invade, hold wages down, steal American jobs and ruin blue collar trades?
Are core Americans fleeing to countries that have it so much better?
Why are the worlds most desperate still trying to break in to our country?
Aren’t you ignoring our real problem? Illegal employers? Why do you defend them?

In fact deep into trumps presidency he himself was an illegal employer at Mara lago. He had to it was making him look bad. He didn’t want to, he had to.

you’re being played going after illegals and trying to build walls you know won’t work.

Youre being played.

Illegal employers are definitely a problem...We should hang every one of them in public...BUT, inclusive, tolerant FEELZ based LefTards cry like a bitch when iCE raids businesses...remember?
Here in Mexifornia, the wetback capital of America, millions of illegals work for legal cousin Gustavo or brother in law Miguel off the books at their tire shop or tree trimming enterprise.
Admit it, your tard buddies do not want illegal immigration solved...they know it has led to electoral Dem ownership of Mexifornia, NM, AZ, NV and eventually Texas. You're being played.
You raided the business and didn’t do anything to the businesses. You accepted their excuse that they were given fake documents. They knew they were illegals.

Illegals don’t vote. Doesn’t help us electorally.

"You raided the business and didn’t do anything to the businesses. You accepted their excuse that they were given fake documents. They knew they were illegals."
Mexicrats wrote policy which prohibits employers from digging too deep on the status of perspective employees...remember?

"Illegals don’t vote. Doesn’t help us electorally."
Oh you're one of those 'play stupid' types?
Here you go...free enlightenment......ILLEGAL WETBACKS = LITTERS OF FREE SHIT BEGGING DEM VOTING ANCHOR BABIES
TA-DA....what else can I teach you?
Oh so now you’re talking about american citizens who were born here over 18 years ago to immigrant parents? Sorry they are just as American as you are.

So now you want to say anyone who was born in America but who’s parents weren’t Americans are not Americans?

You could do that moving forward but not to anyone who has already been born. Change the law. I would vote with you to change the rule. I see how this could be exploited by Muslim terrorists. Sleeper cell has the kids here. Get birth certificate. Take them to the Middle East and train them to be terrorists.
