I have no idea why this would suprise anyone. The reality is that EVERY TIME government makes a big expenditure it almost exclusively goes to the largest businesses and wealthiest people. It is how the government operates and it is not a matter of democrat or republican, it is simply a matter of how it works. I have pointed it out before but I have to point it out again:
The CARES act cost over 2 trillion dollars. Broken down by simple population, that is approximately 6,500 PER PERSON in spending. That means a family of 4 would have received 26 thousand dollars if that spending was sent to them. The actual payout directly to the people? Supposedly 3,400 though the specifics only qualify a fraction of those people for that actual amount.
So where does the rest of that spending go? Not to the average joe. Think about it it. That means the vast majority of the spending does not go to the 'people' in any shape or form.
