if you earn enough to actually owe taxes, then you earn too much to qualify for the leech program. So, even if you do see tax come out of whatever pay you might make, you can bet that it is all coming back to you at the end of the year, thus, you dont pay tax.

It's not for a luxury. The cash is to buy things that are essential non-food items. As I've told several people as misguided as yourself, you are not the only person that pays taxes. I've worked and paid taxes. My parents have worked and paid taxes. Their parents have worked and paid taxes...and it goes on and on. I work part-time currently and go to school full-time. I qualify for food stamps. Does that make me a bad person living off YOUR taxes? Fuck no. and this is true for many other people across this country.

The issue is the constitutionality. If liberals desire these things so much - why not accomplish them through private foundations? Everybody would be a winner. Nobody could complain about it, we would have constitutional government, and those who need help would still receive it.

And nobody can convince me the money won't be there. George Soros is worth many billions and insists he believes in socialism. He could give billions alone to the foundations. Same with all of the Hollywood liberals. Bill Gates. Warren Buffet. And I guarantee you conservatives would donate the most. At the very least - if government must be involved - it should be done at the state and local levels. The federal government has no business being involved.

The reason why we have social welfare (just like every other civilized country) is because hungry people don't starve to death, they bring down governments.

Fact is, we have a 17 TRILLION dollar GDP. Evenly distributed, that's $55,000 for every man woman and child in the country. More than enough to take care of most of our problems.
