"Large" doesn't necessarily means "strong". And, seems to me, Europeans doesn't see "strength" as their priority. There is a lot of fat to be melted in muscles. But they simply don't want to be strong or even smart. They want to be selfish, weak, fat and stupid and they want to be protected by Americans while they are getting the whole NATO in troubles. As far as I can see - they are strategic parasites.

NATO equals America plus some countries under American defence. And who are those countries? "Faithful allies" or "strategic parasites"? If they are "faithful allied" - why they don't invest enough in their own defence? Why they had deals with Russia when they were said not to do it? Why they try to spoil American efforts? And, the most important question - what can America do to change this unsatisfactory situation?

We can no longer afford to be their security blanket. So they need to get on the ball. We are underwriting their socialistic entitlement programs at the expense of our own citizens.

Yes...this. The US is not threatened by Russia... Russia can't even subdue a minor country directly on their border. Europe needs to take charge of the defense of Europe. Militarily and financially.

They had a deal arranged a week into the war and Biden told Zelensky not to take it (threatened him with a loss of US support).
At the current rate now, this fighting could go on many years, with already heavy losses on both sides but especially for Ukraine.

The US could in theory move some troops already stationed in Germany , but the political consequences of such a move internally as well as in Europe make that look a folorn possibility
