Tariff ruling.

You don't get it. It is about a President following the principles written into our constitution by the founding fathers. He needs to issue tariffs it using current law. There is multiple ways Trump can legally get tariffs through.
Most conservatives do not support tariffs.

The last Republican president to agressively issue tariffs was Hoover with disatorous results.
Trump's results 2025. The trade deficit grew. It was not reduced. Manufacturing jobs were lost. The US consumer absorbed the majority of the cost of tariffs

Republican President Herbert Hoover signed the Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act (Tariff Act of 1930) on June 17, 1930. This legislation raised U.S. tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods to record levels, causing retaliatory tariffs from other countries, stalling international trade, and significantly deepening the Great Depression.
Key details regarding this event include:
  • Goal: Initially intended to protect U.S. farmers and manufacturers from foreign competition following the 1929 stock market crash.
  • Impact: Contrary to its goals, it led to a freeze in foreign markets, caused U.S. exports to plummet, and contributed to widespread bank failures.
  • Opposition: Over 1,000 economists urged Hoover to veto the bill.
  • Outcome: The economic downturn worsened, with U.S. GDP dropping significantly and triggering a global trade war.

And that is fine. What I have been reading and hearing is that TARIFFS ARE BAD.

So, if Congress approves any tariffs, you all support them.

We agree.

Tariffs are not taxes. I know that liberals do not vilify taxes at all.

Roberts told trump in no uncertain terms what he did was illegal and unconstitutional. The way to impose tariffs is to go to Congress for approval.

What did trump do? Immediately announce he intends to once again use dubiously claimed authority to unilaterally impose a 10% tariff that skirts the authority of Congress.

In an idyllic world yes.

But increasing the cost of an item will likely drive away a portion of the consumer base. So he's faced with two options

1) Keep the cost as is to maintain his profit margin, or

2) Lower the cost of his widgets by 10 cents to keep them at the intended price and maintain consistent consumption of his product.
.

My experience thus far is paying a tariff of $80 on a product that is almost impossible to get in the US. Also, paying a $50 tariff on something I could have found in the US if I'd looked far enough. Both were paid retroactively, after the item was received.

Now I shop more carefully.

.

Bullshit. You are a sniveling, whiny Trump supporter who says stupid stuff in trying to make your cult leader look bad. All Presidents have been constrained by the Constitution. No president has fought to not abide by the constraints of the president's power. Trump wants to do everything his way.
Anyone who does not agree with what he wants to do, how he wants to do it is a "slime bucket", "bad person", "conspiring with foreign governments." He is calling supreme court justices who have given him more power than any President,"slime bucket", "bad person", "conspiring with foreign governments."
Trump is a spoiled child.
Constrained by the constitution is on who controls the messaging. You control near everything. And you interfere with real prospects for a stronger nation. You live off of theories and thesis's spouting they have to be right. It's from intellectuals. You have no cure to get manufacturing to return and have no concern for China growing into a superpower using manufacturing as the way to get there. And that is the way for rising nations to do it. You are too concerned with perceive sexuality and anything opposite what Republicans push. Even changing your views if they agree with you. I should not have to respond to this. One day the Chinese are going to test us militarily. And we will not have the firepower to respond and win. That is when WMD's may come into play. Rising nations move the declining ones out of the way. And it gets messy at times.

Do you think your guy will ever get over the butthurtness? :auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg::auiqs.jpg:

WINNING!
Enjoy wanking to your fantasy.
Your life is so pathetic you get all giddy over a Supreme Court decision because Trump "lost".
Every President loses Supreme Court decisions. Biden lost a shit ton of them but you don't bring those up.
In the big scheme of things, it's nothing, a small bump in the road.
But to you it's the most important thing in the history of the world.
Because that's how shallow, weak and pathetic your little world is, Disturbed Nothing. :laughing0301:

Imagine if you will...

A world where a Democrat President implements a policy, and that policy is struck down by the Supreme Court of the land. That President announces that he will accept the Supreme Courts ruling, but will find work arounds to achieve as much of the policy as possible through bypassing the ruling. The Republican's cried "FOUL".

Now in the present, a Repubican President does the same thing and the Republicans respond with full throated support to bypass the court.

..... ..... ..... ..... ..... Such is the situation found...

..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... ..... In the Twilight Zone.

Yea, all President's lose SCOTUS decisions, loser. But not one of them ever went in front of the entire country & smeared the justices who voted against them like that two- bit hustler & conman from Queens did today.

The decision whether you MAGA lackeys like it or not is a win for those who believe in The Constitution & the rule of law, sucker.

Cry harder in your beer if it makes you feel better, loser.
