Supreme Court Oral Arguments in the Birthright Citizenship Case

Oral Arguments going on now. So far, the Court seems skeptical of Trump's EO.

Personally this stuff is often frustrating to me. It should be obvious that if you illegally break into our nation, your child doesn't get citizenship. But here we are, a do-nothing Congress, so we're relegated to this.

It all hinges on the definition of "under the jurisdiction thereof" and to me it's a tall hill to climb.

All the more reason for an Article V convention and limit birthright citizenship to children of citizens.

This issue is do illegal aliens have the same citizenship rights as legal immigrants?

I think the issue is can you show illegals aren't here under the jurisdiction of the US government.

I think you need a law passed by congress to declare so, and even that would be iffy.

Better that this sets the stage for an Article V convention and an amendment limiting birthright citizenship to children of citizens.

Trump and MAGA simply doenot understand The Constitution of the United States! If they persist in trying to override the Constitution, they should convene a Constitutional Convention, the only way they can change The Constitution to their liking. Any other Trump arguments are specious! Bigly!!!
