For the past 32 years I have shot a national circuit. I've won 3 national championships and hold 7 different world records. I spent a year doing "search and destroy's" in the late 60s and that cured me of the John Wayne mentality that we all see so much of.

I don't own a gun, doubt that I ever would. However, I think the 2nd amendment is crucial to our country.

We have two. They'd be absolutally no defence against home invasion however, since they're so locked up I'd probably do better to hit the person over the head with the case.

We've taught the older kids to respect guns and treat them like they're ALWAYS loaded. They know how to carry a gun also.

Sold most on retirement..kept my favs...1 S&W model66 357Mag...and a classic 1942 Thompson 45cal sub!(with clip and round mags)...Thats all folks!

Hey we should go shoot someday...I placed 6th in State competition years ago.
Far from National or world, I'd love to shot with someone in that class!

actually, he has, since he just bought one.

paintball guns are considered 'less lethal' because when the velocity is turned up (with the good guns, by makers like Tippman) you can kill someone by shooting them in the head or heart area if you are close enough. Here in MN you can't use one within 500 feet of any road or residential area.

yeah...Tim caught that one, not me, as this is one of his favorite movies. The only parts I remember from that movie are the 'Me so horny, me love you long time' part, and R. Lee Ermy's performance.

I was only half serious when I asked whether pellet guns and paintball guns counted.

Mr P, since this is your poll, what say u?
