spontaneity is not his friendThe culmination but more importantly that there is no natl elected leader pointing out that his was the third incidence in the past couple of weeks that, if there hadn't been citizens videotaping, white people would have used govt power to kill or threaten black men who just being there. That may not excuse violence, but it not comparable to Charlottesville where white men used violence to intimidate "non-combatants," and we have a president who cannot bring himself to condemn the latter but wants to label the former as "terrorism."So how did the system make an excuse for the Floyd cop? Floyd died on May 25th, the next day the cops were fired and on the 29th the cop was charged, even though the preliminary autopsy said Floyd didn’t die of asphyxiation. There was no cover up, and they barely even started the investigation. It will still take several months for a full autopsy report.Yes, you are going to have to live with the occasional callus cop killing a black man. This is a nation of 330 million people, murders are going to happen, and mistakes will be made by cops once in while. You expect cops to never make a mistake, or for them to never cross the line when put in the crazy situations they are put in everyday. Far more black people are shot everyday by black gang bangers, you seem to be able to live with that. Far more white people are killed by cops than black people are, you seem to be able to live with that. So yes, in such a large nation with such a large population of blacks that commit crimes at higher rates than any other group, some bad shit is going to occasionally happen. If you can’t accept that fact, then you’re a retard and cannot be reasoned with.Addressing the nation serves a purpose only if those you are addressing are willing to listen it doesn't seem like those doing the rioting are
Not willing to listen...........Was Trump willing to listen when people were peacefully protesting? No, he was calling for them to be fired. Was the administration that now claims to be for peaceful protest listening when Pence walked out when a person kneeled?
What exactly are people suppose to hear out of Trump? That they are on occasion going to simply have to accept a callous disregard for human life out of an officer now and then? That when a police officers lies and gets someone killed it's for our own good?
How much different would things be today if instead of calling for those peacefully protesting to be fired, Trump had called them to the White House to seriously listen to their concerns?
Nope. It's not going to simply be accepted. This will continue. Is it really worth letting a murderous cop off in exchange for millions in damages? That's going to be the trade.
So how do you propose to end all future cases of police brutality?
And why haven’t Democrat Presidents, governors, mayors, and police chiefs thought of this before?
I can’t wait to hear this perfect plan that will make all cops always perfect in detail.
Nobody is saying that all future cases can be stopped. What people are demanding is that when it does happen the cop doesn't get the system make excuses for him and cover it up.It appears someone lied to a judge to get a warrant on Breonna Taylor.
When that happens we have fewer issues. If I lie to a judge, I'm in trouble.
But if you prefer logical fallacies.
The riots are a culmination of acts the last few months. Floyd simply shows that the police still haven't got the message.
It was initially said that it would take months to investigate what happened to Floyd. That is simply code for "we are going to delay this until the anger does down".
Well, it didn't take months did it?
This is Analog Joe's moment, but I doubt he's really up to the challange
Joe would inevitably say something stupid.
