The National Capital Planning Commission just gave FINAL, FULL APPROVAL to President Trump's White House ballroom, after a judge halted construction

Crazy how MAGA is all in a twitter about the oligarchy building a ballroom of all things for itself. In the middle of a war and an affordability crisis.
The dirty Sliwdown Obiden judge should be chained and dragged to the foundation and tied to the re-bar. People are fed up with this one-way Judicial BS.

What an insane comment to type as you cheer on elitist billionaires building themselves a ballroom as if it's a personal win for you :cuckoo:
So you'd rather have a millionaires tax so you could feed, clothe and house illegal immigrants with their taxes instead of building something that promotes the general welfare, eh? STFU and run along junior. You're ignorant.

Ah yes a ballrooms for billionaires program that promotes the general welfare :lmao:

Sure, a modern, secure central military command and control center for Americans. It is also proper for an 84 year old formal meeting area to greet foreign dignitaries to the country be replaced with something 21st century. Just shut up, I'm tired of educating you. Run along.

Actually, No!
What impressed my was that Trump got the big money to pony up to build the East Wing Ballroom.
It's not costing the taxpayer and that's fine.

Wow! you sound like a Trotskyite.
Would you rather take the Oligarchs out behind the ballroom and shoot them?
Eh Tovarich?
Remember it's must all be for the Rodina! :abgg2q.jpg:

Let them eat cake!

That was already paid for 100% with private funds, not taxpayers. I know, being democrats, you can't contemplate something being done by a politician and taxpayers not having to pay for it, but Trump is different. He's got money and connections. And had them BEFORE becoming president.

What is the problem? My neighbor just bought a brand new car, in the middle of a war and an affordability crisis. Should I attack him for that?
That's how bribes work....

You really have to learn 101 corruption

Yeah, and he only had to resort to very immoral means to do it.

In fact, it looks just the same as Putin getting money for his war.

"Court documents show that YouTube will pay $22m towards the project as part of a settlement with Trump regarding a lawsuit over the suspension of his account following the 6 January 2021 riot at the US Capitol."

"YouTube has agreed to pay $24.5m (£18.6m) to settle a lawsuit brought by Donald Trump, filed after the video platform suspended his account in the wake of the 6 January attack on US Capitol."

Not the first time Trump has gone after people for things that, quite frankly, are ridiculous, and then got a settlement because he's threatened them with other things.

"In January, Facebook's parent company Meta agreed to a $25m settlement - with $22m earmarked for Trump's presidential library."

Facebook too.

"The social media giants have also taken measures to loosen content moderation on their platforms which Republicans had claimed amounted to a violation of free speech."

Funny, as I got kicked off Facebook for.... I don't know what. There were a few reasons given, none of them make any sense. I can't sue these people... but Trump does and then uses his power to win without ever having to go to court (where he'd lose big time).

Trump is as corrupt as they come.

He lets people buy influence from him, he attacks those he doesn't like.

Well, they haven't gotten mass deportations, convictions of Democrats, infrastructure, a wall, DOGE checks, stimulus checks, lower grocery prices, lower home prices, affordable healthcare, respect around the world, or an economy that serves them. Or PEACE.

So they're having to crow about stuff like this. Lots of gold plating. Subconsciously, they know they've been had. By a con man.

The National Capital Planning Commission just gave FINAL, FULL APPROVAL to President Trump's White House ballroom, after a judge halted construction

Commentary:
Democrats will go crazy about the National Planning Commission decision
Recently, Judge Richard Leon ruled that President Trump cannot continue building the $400 million ballroom without explicit authorization from Congress, and he issued a preliminary injunction halting the project.
Guess there's on pissed off Judge in D.C tonight...

/----/ The best news is judges, especially federal judges, hate to have their decisions overturned. And that goes for conservative ones too.

1. How can we be in the middle of a "never ending war?"
2. The affordability crisis can easily be solved if democRATs lowered taxes.

It's a stupid dem argument on it's face so I'll totally discount it.

Look at it like this, for many years after Trump is dead and gone, the people, when on tour of the WH, will get to see the Ball Room.

It's not like they will get to play hoops on the basketball court or go bowling. Trump is doing something the people can enjoy in the future.

Sigh, unless the dems in some future administration tear it down out of spite like they do our historic monuments. 😐

Imagine that. A group of trump lackeys approved of the structure. Who would have guessed?

A federal urban planning commission on Thursday approved President Donald Trump’s planned White House ballroom, the final procedural obstacle to building a structure that would dramatically remake one of the most recognized symbols of American power and democracy.

But the project’s future remains uncertain after a federal judge ruled that it requires congressional approval and ordered a halt to construction. Congress also does not appear eager to authorize the project, which is polling poorly and has drawn public complaints.

The National Capital Planning Commission, which Trump has packed with allies, voted 8-1 for the two-story, 90,000-square-foot building — ending the administration’s 13-week push to clear two congressional design-review committees. Two commissioners voted “present.”

Trump put allies on obscure board set to decide White House ballroom’s fate

The White House has promised that it will submit its blueprints for the project, anchored by a massive ballroom, to the commission for review. The panel is led by Will Scharf, the White House staff secretary whom Trump appointed in July to lead the body, and includes a pair of other White House officials, James Blair and Stuart Levenbach. It also has nine seats apportioned to sitting Cabinet secretaries and other officials who have a role in overseeing Washington, although senior officials and lawmakers traditionally send a representative in lieu of attending themselves.

You hicks want the US to stuff dignitaries from around the world into a tent.

Gomer.
Now all of a sudden you're heartbroken over foreign dignitaries being stuffed in a tent? When did that happen? Thousands of vets are homeless & you're soiling yourself because the orange trouser stain may not be able to build a $200 million ballroom to wine & dine his billionaire cronies in style.

Cry harder, your tears are comedy gold.

Once again you exhibit your ignorance for all to see. Thanks, you make my job easy.
