Should Trump go to jail for mishandling classified information?

I would like no why. Not intentional disregard but WHY he took them, WHAT he intended with them, AND who else may have been access to them.

I don't think we can ever get the truth out of Trump why he does what he does.
His goal is to keep his ass out of jail, and he'll tell any story, make up any lie, and throw anyone under the bus to prevent that from happening.

So for Trump to tell us why, would be a confession to his guilt. So it's not going to happen.

To be fair they could just be empty folders. Maybe he grabbed a stack to use as envelops come Christmas time. Add stealing office supplies to the list of charges. Those are tax payer funded envelopes!

Ironically you got that right. Theft is theft. Stealing government documents is bad. Of course if they were classified it would be worse, but we don't need to even consider their classification status to charge a crime.

How do you know? I have a ton of empty Manila folder that once held important documents. Maybe those classified docs that Trump flushed while in the White House originally had a folder which Trump kept. Or maybe he had a stack of blank folders in the resolute desk so if he wrote a letter or signed a document they could file them away in the designated folder. Don’t know, I’m spitballing here.
