Seventeen Wendy's Employees Quit Right On The Spot.

The real culprits were the Covid payouts and increased unemployment payments. A lot of people found it better to stay at home than work. That produced a labor shortage which produced long hours and stress on the workers.

Add Biden's massive inflation and vaccine mandates on top of that and you have the recipe for a labor shortage disaster.

As usual the government created the problem.

Lmao I work construction. They fire or lay me off whenever they want without notice. So we can quit without notice.

Been happening forever. You'll never wirk again garbage. lol

One job i was on lost HALF of the workers during a safety meeting. They played the OR ELSE scolding constructiin workers. The workers gave them the FU bye response.

Safetyman was UNEMPLOYED about an hour after the meeting
Most places don’t fire you unless you deserved it. I have worked in construction. There is a difference between firing someone and laying them off. But there are asshole bosses out there too. If someone were given notice of being fired, there is a chance the employee will mess something up on purpose before leaving.

In at will the employer can let an employee go as of the end of the day. Why would an employee then give 2 weeks?
I have seen where a boss gave someone notice to find another job. He actually went into the office computer and deleted important documents and programs. Employees who know in advance can harm the business.

Well then there's no reason for notice then. Don't show up. Move on. Win win all the way around. No reason for firing and no notice for quitting. Makes sense.

Yawn. Ive been here 16 years same job.

Yawn ive been here 16 years. Same company. But when I went in the road and didnt like the boss I drug up and left. No notice give me a tool pass.

Construction jobs peeps get laid off without notice all the time, so ill do the same. Its always been like that

Weve had that happen once in 16 years. He wrecked a truck on purpose and slung the keys. Problem is there are security cameras there.

He went to jail

Wendy's is understaffed all of a sudden? Gee whiz, now we have to wait in line at a fast-food restaurant?

It's beautiful to see fed up employees walk out. The owner is probably too dumb to understand why. Bad on him.

This current crop of young workers, are perhaps the worst in American history.

So ignoring a safety guy is something to be proud of?

Had nothing to do with safety. He was going around threatening everyone being an idiot. They were trying to burn people for nothing. Bird dogging all the time when you are in lifts doing absolutely NOTHING WRONG AT ALL. We were tied off and everything legal and they would still say shit.

50 people walked out on them when he did that crap.

I doubt he would make a stink if you were all doing it by the book.

Any time a construction worker gets hurt the owners and the engineers and the contractors are the only ones blamed, even if the worker was being a moron.

Sadly that exists. My wife just left a job where the Director was a former corrupted cop and left in disgrace. The guy runs it like a gestapo and picks employees to harass and people have left.

How the hell would you know. You weren't there. I was.....so I don't give a damn what you think.

Got news for you. It isn't often half the workers flip someone off and say up yours from one meeting.

He was rambling on how you'll get fired for this and this and this.

Being an asshole. He lost his job. Figure it out.

I've been deposed twice for accidents as the Engineer in construction accident lawsuits, both time the guys didn't follow basic rules, and still got 6 figure settlements.

So when you wonder why the safety guys are paid to be strict, that's your ******* answer.

Maybe some people think of Wendy's as a career but it is just a fast food place paying minimum wage. Those people could walk down the street and be back flipping burgers some place else the next day.

Your ******* answer. Stuck up engineer. I've been red lining Engineers prints for a long dang time.

This guy was being an asshole. You weren't there. And we weren't breaking any rules. Then he went FULL TYRANT and Construction workers don't like that. And told him to go to hell.

I've been working at a place for 16 years straight same company asshole. We've had only minor injuries the whole time. One lost time injury when a guy rolled his knee when stepping on a pipe and slipped. In that case the scaffold should have been modified as it ran through the scaffold at the entry ladder.

I don't care if you are high and mighty bro. YOU WEREN'T THERE ON THAT CASE.

That's it, blame the Engineer. Too predictable.

If there is one good thing that could come out of this pandemic, it would be the end of "The customer is always right" and "we want to hear from you".

No

Sometimes the customer is a rude, ignorant egghead who should frankly shut their mouth. Walking in to an establishment does NOT grant one the "right" to demand service there. Just that alone--demanding basic human decency from customers--would go a long way toward keeping employees.
I second this. A good deal of the time, things are only said and done because the people know that they can get away with every last drop of it.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

Sure do when the circuits dont work. Especually when they work from home and just go off old outdated prints.

We bail you overpaid engineers all the time. Engineers should have to work 2 years in the field with us so you spot screwing shit up.
