You obviously don't have a clue how business "works" then Tommy! New York City has always been the financial capital of the world. If you were a global player then it was almost mandatory that you had large, impressive offices in Manhattan. The pandemic changed that. People started working from home and not making the commute into New York and companies discovered they didn't NEED those expensive offices in the city! New York City and New York State kept raising taxes at the same time. Even before Tish James went after Trump huge companies were transferring the bulk of their offices to cities like Miami, Nashville and Dallas because doing so saved them billions in costs. New York City has lost the main office of almost 180 financial companies with assets of almost a Trillion dollars to Florida since 2019. It was a steady stream of people leaving BEFORE this move by James...now it's a torrent.Business doesnt work like that. Draining the New York trump swamp is acually a positive thing.
