Every party loses an election now and then. Both parties have spent whole decades on the outs, railing from the sidelines while their opponents controlled the agenda. However, it’s hard to think of a 24-hour period where any party has suffered so many self-inflicted disasters as the Republican Party experienced on Tuesday.

The morning opened to chaos. Sen. James Lankford, who had been McConnell’s chief negotiator on the bill, explained how it felt to be run over by a bus. McConnell, who once completely dictated the actions of Republicans in the Senate, was revealed as a sad puppet. The remaining Republicans were left stumbling over themselves, trying to justify sabotaging the best deal they’re ever going to get.

In hours Republicans took the issue at the heart of their 2024 campaign and turned it into an anchor that President Joe Biden will hang around their necks.

And their day only went downhill from there.

Such an unfortunate article. Almost to painful to read.

Where will you move when Trump wins skrewey?
Will you still read and post comic book articles from the Ukraine?

I hate to break this to you, Skews but the American people know that Joe Biden has always had the authority and the ability to secure the border. He simply chose not to.

The Daily Kos can try to spin that narrative but the people aren't buying it! This crisis was completely caused by the Democrats. Joe Biden and whoever is running him in this White House OWN this! Pretending it's something the GOP caused by not giving Biden the money to process MORE illegals when we can't absorb the ones we have isn't going to fly!

Not more embarrassing than the fake Republican losing to literally no one. Now that's embarrassing. Poor Democrat plant couldn't even win with a cleared field...

LMAO. Only a democrat would call the defeat of that bill humiliating. It certainly didn't humiliate the republicans. It was just another nail in the coffin of the US if it had passed. You and Biden belong in the same old folks home.

Luckily, I have an answer for them.

Really, it's the only answer for them.

And it will only cost them 25 cents.

What a deal!!!

Biden has a truckload of negatives but the one big one he needs to stop is an antiwar movement, similar to the real reason Nixon was taken down during Vietnam.

Expect a dangerous challenge to Russia, China, etc.

They killed a bill that would make open borders law. Why should anyone be humiliated?...lol

Nixon was taken down because of Vietnam? How do you arrive at that conclusion? That might be true of LBJ but Nixon was taken down because of Watergate...not Vietnam.

It's a long and detailed story that needs to take into account America's government assassination of a president and others.

Nixon was run out of office because of the Kennedy assassination, Donald? Now you've gone down the rabbit hole. Nixon was taken down because he was spying on his political rivals...got caught covering that up...and then made matters worse for himself by trying to use the IRS against his political enemies. At that point GOP leaders went to the White House and told him it was time for him to resign or they would be going along with an impeachment. The only way that Kennedy even vaguely is involved is that Nixon was paranoid about political dirty tricks being played on him which was most likely the result of the 1960 race he ran against JFK which was basically fixed by Joe Kennedy. Nixon crushed Humphrey in that race. There was no need to spy on the DNC.

You can't invent your own talking points and credit me with them.

America's government to this day, is still covering up the evidence needed for a full discussion.

Having Donald Trump as the presumptive nominee of your political party is as humiliating as it gets.
