My assumption is that people who are denied have done something else in the last 15 years that disqualifies them when they can't do their current job. But I agree with you, government can't be relied on. People like Joe embellish the welfare queens who make a lifestyle out of living off the government. He compares my situation to theirs. I've been sick nearly my entire adult life, yet in spite of my problems, have worked my entire life while those much more able bodied were living off of my tax dollars that my sick ass created for them.

Now I'm virtually an 18 year old kid with no experience at anything in a 60 year old body that's pretty much shot. Joe tells me it's none of my business why my HUD neighbors sit home and live in the suburbs. Yet he feels he has every right to opine on my situation. It reminds me of something Ken Blackwell once said.

Here's the reality... all I hear out of you are excuses of why you can't... but you want to think you are better than your HUD neighbors. Now, do you really know if they have jobs or not? Most people on assistance have jobs, so I would say they probably do.

If you've been sick your entire life, it was kind of dumb for you to go into a line of work that has health limitations, isn't it?

Now, funny thing. I think every American should have a job. If private industry won't hire them, then government should find a position for them. I'm all for replacing welfare with workfare. Business would hate that, becuase it would limit their ability to exploit people.

How would one predict what government changes would happen to prohibit me working? I never seen that coming. But the commies have empowered government so much, that they just about run our lives.

I am better than my HUD neighbors because I never had children I couldn't afford. I never lived in an area above my standard of living. I contributed to the system all of my life. They are just taking out of it with no contributions. Even if they do work, they make so little they pay no income tax as does 47% of the population. So don't tell me it's the same.

I'm taking from a system I supported all of my life. I didn't make the rules, I'm just playing by them. I didn't destroy my career, government did. Plus the fact I was going to retire in two years anyway, so I'm actually only retiring a few years early. The likelihood of me not living the average lifespan in our country, the government will make out more on me than somebody that's healthy and works until retirement.

Ran a stop sign and T-boned us at 65mph...................an accident that we shouldn't have lived through..............but with all the damage from that accident...................No disability............twice denied over the years............even though we both put into the system....................

The socialist run retirement system in this country, doesn't take in consideration that all jobs are not the same, and that we have citizen's that have worked harder and longer than other's have in this country, and they are worn out. They towed the lines way more than other's, and therefore their bodies are worn out way before other's bodies are in which should be understandable to all.

So the idea that some here have, is that regardless of what people have done over the years in their work life, it is that they shouldn't stop until everyone stops together ? How stupid is this ideology or thinking really ????
