Everyone just about knows there is a Gov. patent on pot. They try and claim there is no medical benefit from it when there is and it has been proven over and over.

The Government wanted to keep ppl in fear of this for multiple reasons.
By keeping ppl on prescribed meds the big pharma's made out on big money.
by keeping it illegal the justice system made billions off this so called " War on drugs"... Funny we still have tons of drugs in the nation.

Can't have the masses growing natural products in their own gardens now, can we. Not sure where it's at now, but this madness had gone so far that beleaguered KY tobacco farmers at one point weren't even allowed to switch to industrial hemp as a crop – even though we import industrial hemp from abroad. There were farmers pushing back on this nonsense but I haven’t kept up with it. Meanwhile, moonshine went main stream. As with everything in america, at some point it’s about someone with more power protecting a market or perceived revenue stream, either potential or immediate.
