Hussein's birth certificate has been locked in a freaking vault in Hawaii and no one has gotten a good look at anything but a "certified copy" which isn't even good enough to get a freaking drivers license in some states. Obama's background and birth is a legitimate cause for concern but strangely enough it seems that it's the radical left that is keeping the issue alive.

A certified copy of a birth certificate is the gold standard in every state and there are few people who have an original birth certificate from the day they were born. That is nonsense.

If I'm not mistaken, the whole birther thing started with one of his Democrat opponents for state senate back in the mid '90s. It's my understanding that the Clinton camp was going to question his religion, Muslim or not Muslim, right up until we were introduced to the delightful Reverend Wright. That and his "Americanism".
