Progressive Propaganda: The Voter Fraud Edition

The left has come up with some of the most absurd excuses in the world not to have clean, proper elections. From racists stuff like "black people don't have ID and can't figure out how to get it" to "there is no voter fraud anyway", to "it will discourage voting". All of it has been proven to be a lie.

When a Democrat in New Hampshire supported voter laws, voter turnout was better than the national average.
Gardner backed a New Hampshire voter ID law that passed in 2011, despite warnings that it would decrease voter turnout. He said New Hampshire’s voter turnout in the following year’s presidential election was 14.2 percentage points higher than the national average, and that in 2016, New Hampshire’s general election turnout was 14.5 percentage points higher than the national average.

What infinitesimal voter fraud there is cannot and has not been stopped by Voter ID.

Every single instance of voter fraud shown on this board for the past seven years I have been here have all been the kind which cannot be stopped by Voter ID.

In fact, almost every example provided on this forum for the past five years has been fraud committed in states which already have Voter ID.

Voter ID is theater for the rubes.

In both Georgia and Kansas...the Republican Secretary of State is running for Governor. The SoS controls the election. He controls what polling places are open...how many machines they have and how and where they will be placed.

And voter suppression in both states is high.

Dodge City Kansas for instance has ONE polling place for 13,000 voters. The norm is one per 1200 in Kansas.

That ONE polling place was recently moved OUTSIDE the city limits by miles...and has no public transit access.

No car...no vote

Now who do you suppose would be affected by something like that?

Dodge City has about a 60% hispanic population

I saw some Trumper wing nut ranting about California voter ID so I checked.

Here is what I found

According to the Office of the California Secretary of State, "in most cases, California voters are not required to show identification at their polling place." A voter may be asked to provide identification at the polls if it is his or her first time voting (this requirement applies if the individual registered by mail without providing a driver's license number, state identification number, or the last four digits of a Social Security number). Acceptable forms of identification include driver's licenses, utility bills, or any document sent by a government agency. For a complete list of acceptable forms of identification, see this list.[4]

Sounds reasonable enough

Whoah! Easy there, snowflake. If what you’re saying is true, I was unaware of that. I wasn’t “lying”, I misunderstood (again...assuming what you’re saying is accurate).

"A yes vote was a vote in favor of amending the city's charter to allow the non-citizen parents or guardians of students who live in the San Francisco Unified School District to vote in school board elections."

Your mea culpa is accepted.
So to be clear - “non-citizen” does not include illegal aliens? This is only individuals who are here’s legally (but are not citizens)? I looked at your link and it doesn’t appear to specify whether people here illegally are excluded.

I don't believe they are excluded. However, if they are, and have children who attend public schools (remember some of their children maybe natural born citizen via the 14th Amendment) and such a parent who enrolls their child in a public school is less likely to be a rapist or a murderer).

I don't believe voter fraud is as big as a problem as the far right claim it is. Every time that issue goes to court, it gets tossed aside for lack of evidence. However, I have no problem with an ID such as a state ID or drivers license.

You and the other fellow travelers of the New Iteration of the Republican Party piss and moan about voter fraud, and yet while in control of the Congress since 2011 have never defined what is a legal form of ID to vote in any Federal Election

The Congress you support and defend ad nausea is not conservative, real conservatives opposed "papers" [a national ID card]. Now that these CINOs are in power, they demand ID's, but allow each state and county commissioner to decide who can and who cannot vote.

We know Red States and supporters of the GOP cannot win on ideas, since the vast majority of our citizens do not benefit from their policies.

If voter fraud really existed, the CINOs would do more than suppress the vote of the many, and develop a policy on what is necessary to vote in every election, and to fund a card which shall be accepted by every minor bureaucrat who has authority and hold hem accountable to each person denied.

As it stands, the issue of voter fraud is a wedge issue which benefits the fear mongerings currently in public office.

When people get out and vote in large numbers...Republicans lose.

So of COURSE they want as few people as possible to vote

VOTE people.

Don't let them take away that right
