Philosophical Failures of Christian Apologetics,

This is a very good presentation of why even the best of the arguments for god fails very badly. Please watch these as they're well made and make a very solid case for no god.

... From morons who watch tv vids and cannot reason philosophically themselves.

Dear ScienceRocks
since you have faith in science, please include
medical research studies such as the study on Rheumatoid
Arthritis that showed effective results of Dr. Francis MacNutt
and his team's method of spiritual healing that cured certain patients of RA.

What we can prove by science and stats is
CORRELATION between forgiveness and healing/recovery success rates
and CORRELATION between unforgivness and inability to heal and recover.

Once people go through forgiveness therapy and healing/recovery,
then it doesn't matter if we have conflicting beliefs or not
between atheism or theism, Christian or nonchristian.

The critical key factor is FORGIVENESS.
I have a number of atheist friends who do work on
the basis of forgiveness, and so they have no problem
working with Christians who are forgiving. It's just
when people are NOT forgiving that these cause
clashes and conflicts, regardless if the person is
Christian/theist or nonchristian/nontheist.

Is that a clear enough way to state it?
That the issue is NOT whether we believe in
a personified god or not but whether we
believe that forgiveness can heal relations
regardless of what our beliefs are!

This guy rocks!!! Totallly fucking destroying christianity!

This is the 8th about how there's nothing for Jesus

Dear ScienceRocks
actually I can explain how the message in the Bible is still true
even if the figurative Jesus is totally made up and never existed:

If you understand that the meaning of the Bible is symbolizing
the process of humanity achieving lasting Justice and Peace,
this doesn't require Jesus to be real. Jesus can be totally symbolic,
even made up mythology, and the message is still consistent with
the history and future of humanity.

the process of grief, spiritual growth and recovery
matches the stages symbolized in the Bible.

All humanity still goes through this process of
denial and projection, numbness and depression,
anger and outrage, negotiation and bargaining,
and resolution and peace, acceptance and tolerance.

So that is what the sacrifice and redemption of Christ Jesus
represents: the patterns of stages and process of
Restorative Justice, or Justice with Mercy,
also known as Peace and Justice, or Equal Justice Under law.

Jesus can be a totally fictionalized mythological figure, and still
symbolize this universal process that all humanity experiences
in our path to seeking truth and world peace and harmony.

I can't believe that I also fell for this and this shows how incapable the human mind is of rationality.

Emotions and what feels good over powers logic and the truth that is staring you right in the face. It feels good to be finally be thinking clearly.

I can't believe that I also fell for this

This picture is becoming more clear as you let slip these little revelations.

It's obvious now that, having been raised in a religious environment and maybe even accepting it with enthusiasm, some personal tragedy has caused you to reject and revile it like a spurned lover.

A reaction not of logic, but of the emotion you claim to reject.
