OK..GOP candidates suck...so enlighten me...

Hillary would have had more balls

Thats for sure.

And the GOP would not have felt as meaningless and they may have worked with her.

No one can deny that Obama made it clear he won, the dems had a majority and the GOP was there just for the ride.

To me, that was his first big mistake.

Besides Avy's profound statement I think your right.

The minute he shuffled the Reps to the back of the bus he made it clear that his claims of wanting partisanship were nothing but BS.

Obama brings new meaning to the word shyster.

The folks were sick of the Reps and I doubt it would have mattered who they ran. Barry would have won.

I do believe the shoe is on the other foot now. Oh yes.

But that's the point, Jarhead - people DO recall him. And anyone interested in learning as much can do so with a simple Google search.
Because google is not in bed with the left and everything you read on the internet is a fact.

Did you just honestly equate a search engine with partisanship?

That's a little over the top. Might as well equate the computer you are using with a liberal agenda too. Don't forget your microwave. Those damn liberals might use it to hijack your BRAIN.

I built a french drain underground 3 feet around my whole foundations and my basement now stays dry, even when the neighbors are flooding. : )

I hear they work well

they're state of the art and really easy to do.

dig a trench, slope 6" every 50 feet.here's how to get the depth @ the beginning of the trench:

inside the trench, you'll put 3 inches of 2"-diameter stone.

then lay out a piece of landscape fabric, and set your drain pipe ($7.99 per ten-foot piece at Depot).....on top of the fabric. put stone inside of the fabric/pipe wrap, filling to the top of the pipe.

wrap the stone and pipe together, and make sure it's wrapped over-lapped so it doesn't come un-done ever.

then you back-fill with dirt.

you want a minimum of 5 inches between your package, and the ground surface, so the beginning of the trench will be this deep:

3" of stone
4" diameter drain pipe (add another inch or so for the thickness of the "wrap")
5" to ground level

so about 13" deep at the beginning.

the end of the trench should be a 3 foot square filled 1/2 way with stone(wrapped in the fabric), your "package" should empty into it, and you cover that with the back-fill.

done!!~

Thanks...may do it in the spring.
Another project for the spring.
Dam...over the last 20 years I have accumulated about 15 different spring projects.
One spring I may actually get to one of them.

Asshole...and yes...now you are being an asshole...I never said he didnt go there. I simply asked if that was where there were no OPEN records about him there and no one recalls hiom.

Fuck off asshole...sorry of I hit a fucking sore nerve with you.

So now Google is a liberal source? Really?

You have all taken apart all candidates that are running for the GOP nomination. You have educated us as to why Cain is a poor choice...why Bachmann is a hypocrite.....Newt is not worthy....Rommey.....and I can go on and on.

Fine...thank you.

What you have done is reviewed their years in politics, or thier years in business, their years as a privatye citizen, the actions when they were younger, the actions of their spouses...etc..etc...etc...

So now lets go back to 2008.....

Obama had a mere 2 years as a state senator and less than 18 months as a US senator.

He had a very spotty voting record in Illinois...voted present quite often and voted party lines pretty much the rest of the time...so it was difficxult to see what his thought process was
As a US senator, he voted against the surge...something that was successful and he doubled down on when he was President....so that vote was the wrong vote at the time.
The rest of his votes were either present or along party lines....so again, one can not evaluate his thought process.

So what did we want to know about him......

His acadedmic successes....but we were told no...none of our business.
His writings with the law review...we were told none of our business
His relationships with other people...we were told it is irrelevant and that we should not judge him by the actions of his mentors and supporters.....and we are racists if we try to
We asked who his friends are...we were told none of our business (anyone know of ANY friends that he has?)

SO I must ask all of you....you have dug deep to knock and find fault in the GOP runners...

So what of Obama did you evaluate when you opted to vote for him?

Thats odd. I thought he was a State Senator for 7 yrs :eusa_eh: and a U.S. Senator for 3 years.

As to his relationships, Paylin shouted them from the rooftops at every casmpaign stop so it isn't like they were a secret.
Add to this the fact that Paylin would've been a "heartbeat away" from the Presidency given that her running mate is in his mid-seventies. Paylin was/is a small town mayor and a 1/2' term governor. The choice was easy. ;)

Didnt realize he had 7 years in state.
As for US....it was 1.5 when he started to run.
Did I say his relationships were a secret? No, I did not.
What I said is wew were told that they were ireelevant...which I find funny becuase everyone was out there saying how relevant McCains relationship was to the Keating 5.

And the irony? I know McCain was not guilty of anything with the Keating 5 but he was found to have been guilty of poor judgement...and yes, that bothered me....his judegemnt was a concern of mine...inb regard to the keating 5 and then in regard to Palin...(and I think she is great but no way was she experienced enough to become president if McCain were to pass during his tenure)

I find it strange that a man with poor judgement did not bother Obama supporters. And lets be real.....it takes poor judgement to sit in the pews of Reverned Wright if you want to run for President..and it takes poor judgement to associate with Ayers if you want to run for President.

But, of course, it proved not to be poor judgement becuase the media told us it wasnt a big deal.

LMAO...but it was a big deal that Dukakis looked silly in a tank.....Rommel looked silly in a freaking tank...

But not a big deal to have 3 conflicting answers about his relationship with Ayers...

Whatever.

Seems most voted for Obama by voting dfor what they see as the lesser of the two evils...

So then why is so hard for so many of you to admit he is a failure?

Why is he a failure? The economy? Do you think this down-turn should just be metaphorical "bump in the road" that we can get over in a couple/few years? If so, you're naive. How long did it take to get out of the only economic downturn worse than the current one? (that would be the Great Depression ;-)

As to his accomplishments, there are many and he's only been in office three years. I'm not going to type out a paragraph and list them just so you can type "pffft"

You don't have to list them. Someone already did it...

Off and on they have been playing politics, just isn't happening right now, but before...yes.

He had a filibuster proof house and senate for two years. TWO YEARS, and did not pass one thing that helped the economy. Bottom line is they dont want to help the economy, they want to bring Americas economy to it's knees. You're the one who is Naive.
During the Great depression we built the Hoover damn in one year, how long has it taken for them to rebuild Ground zero? 10 years later they are still working on it.
I wish you would list those accomplishments, because I would like to see them. I dont argue that he has accomplished much, I do however argue that what he has accomplished did not help the Republic one bit, everything the man has done has been against the constitution of the united states and against the middle and lower class. Only problem is, some in the middle and lower class just dont see how destructive his ideology will be in the end to the way of life and liberty as we know it. Obama does not have the American constitution and our traditional way of life in his best interests. It's going to take 100% complete socialism for you to figure it out. And by that time, it will be too late for you to back track and say "Wait a minute, I want a redo!".

i didn't vote for obama, and i still think the repub field sucks.

romney is the least sucky of a miserable field, imo.

Yeah, I'm supporting Romney. I don't know what I'll do if he's not nominated. Perry vs. obama? God help us.

Herman Cain is a better candidate than Romney, dont listen to the MSM, they will only tell you who THEY want you to elect.

what do you mean by better candidate? Cain will lose to Obama in a landslide. ...Cain's not ready to be President. and I like Herman Cain.

Thinking that you can compare what happened back then to now is naive.

Harvard was so hell-bent on affirmative action that they let a black student enter Harvard Law who didn't even have an undergraduate degree!

They let Bush into graduate school when he did not have the proper credentials, but that had to do with money.

Bush had an undergraduate degree in Economics from Yale.

You don't get a bachelors of science in Econ from Yale by playing pixy stix.

He had a C average. The graduate school that I went to would not even look at you unless you had a B average, and although it was one of the better schools in the country, it was not Harvard.
