Well the first thing he needed to do pull a Hitler would have been destroy the opposition party by imprisoning or murdering it's leaders and outlawing citizens from joining any other party. Then within a couple of months of being elected(actually Hitler was appointed he didn't win the election) he would have consolidated his power and become dictator for life. Then he would have the power to "improve the economy" as he saw fit by....... well we all know what they did to the "Mud People"

No, he didn't because we do have a Constitution. He would have done it in a heartbeat had he been able to though. It takes a while to dismantle a individualist governmental system that was created by geniuses.
