New Website on the American Civil War

Buchannan deceptively trying to send troops on the Star of the West was an act of War.
The Star of the West was a merchant vessel with no military escort traveling to a US occupied fort after South Carolina seceded from the Union. They had every right to resupply and reinforce THEIR fort and were not obligated to inform or ask for permission from South Carolina. The mistake Buchannan made was not sending a military escort. A mistake that Lincoln was not going to repeat.

Are you superior to blacks?

There was no deception. South Carolina had seceded from the Union. The US was not obligated to tell South Carolina anything.

Only to a white supremacist. To everyone else it was a defensive move made after South Carolina seceded from the Union.
So let me get you right. Minnesota is in open rebellion right now. Do you support Trump sending the US army and using Artillery against Minnesota?

Lincoln sending a Navy flotilla, consisting of warships, to reinforce Sumter with troops and arms, under the guise of sending food only, was an act of War.
Which hadn't even reached the fort before South Carolina attacked it with cannon fire and Anderson surrendered the fort.

that would be on the states that attempt to defy the Government with force.
Today on FOX news they showed citizens of MN openly rebelling against Trump who is like Lincoln was. Did you tell me it is fine to use artillery against Minnesota?

Of course it was a defensive move, that is not the point. The point is that there was agreement that there would be no movement of troops or arms while negotiations were taking place concerning the Forts. Thus when Anderson moved his men with arms and destroyed all the arms at Moultrie he could not take, that was an act, the act of war.

Buchannan's Secretary of War, John B. Floyd, in a meeting set up by Buchannan, said this. "He read aloud a three-paragraph statement that began: It is evident now, from the action of the commander of Fort Moultrie, that the solemn pledges of the Government have been violated by Major Anderson." (The Demon Of Unrest, Erik Larson, Crown Publishing Group, 2024 p. 155)

Today Minnesota has rebelled. Should Trump send his army and defeat Minnesota?
You're kidding, right? How is this even close to being similar? South Carolina seceded from the Union. Lincoln told South Carolina he was sending a supply ship with a military escort for humanitarian reasons to resupply a US fort. That if South Carolina the military escort would fire back.

Has Minnesota seceded from the Union?

South Carolina was not obligated to withhold fire upon Sumter once Anderson made the act of War in moving to Sumter.

The War had not started yet. And one side, South Carolina, was trying to avoid war, while the other, the North, was doing all it could to start the war.

Yes, there was deception. That is why a civilian vessel was sent instead of a Navy vessel. That is why it was done in secret. That is why the troops were secretly picked up and told to stay below deck. All the while making the South Carolina Commissioners think that they were waiting for further word. (The Demon Of Unrest. Erik Larson, Crown Publishing Group, 2024, p. 180-181)

Because the flotilla was sent, with warships, with the purpose of reinforcing Sumter with men and arms is why South Carolina attacked. Anderson's move to Sumter was an act of War. The flotilla sent by Lincoln was an act of War.

Is that a website?

if an armed conflict ensues then the military will be justified to go in and they will act in the best interest f this Country.

I already addressed this... here and here.

That's exactly the kind of wrong headed and dishonest thinking I would expect from a white supremacist.

Are you superior to blacks?

If Trump invades MN and uses Artillery against them, we will see if you approve then.
