New Website on the American Civil War

I did not say the fort had no damage. I said no troop inside the fort was harmed at all. The remedy for the Noth was to abandon the fort and not have to endure any fire at all.

No, you said Sumpter was so protected that the cannon of the State might as well have shot spitballs. As I showed you, that is false.

And there were injuries, just miraculously none were killed during the battle.

Moving troops from Moultrie to Sumter was an act of War. Buchannan deceptively trying to send troops on the Star of the West was an act of War. Lincoln sending a Navy flotilla, consisting of warships, to reinforce Sumter with troops and arms, under the guise of sending food only, was an act of War. And, he did that all the while telling South Carolina that Sumpter would be evacuated. John Brown attacking Virginia at Harpers Ferry was an act of War. Jim Lane leading guerilla raids from the territory of Kansas into the State of Missouri, was an act of War.

How many union troops were harmed by the South Carolinians? The injuries in the fort were self-inflicted.

No, they weren't retard and when civilians do stuff that is not on the Government.

LOL you confederate apologists amaze me. The Confederacy was all about protecting slavery and you lot support that blindly,
The slaves are not why Ft. Sumter rebelled against South Carolina. Even Abe announced the war was not about slavery.

Who is today waging war against America? The Democrats in MN clearly are waging war against the United States. Does this mean Trump should pull a Lincoln and send an army to Minnesota and fire at them using artillery? The apologists want the War against the South to seem noble. That war did not need to happen.

Only to a white supremacist. To everyone else it was a defensive move made after South Carolina seceded from the Union.

Today Minnesota has rebelled. Should Trump send his army and defeat Minnesota?

the entire reason the south left and started a war was about slavery, EVERY single state that left list as the main cause slavery.

I don't know exactly. But there were some. "One shot struck the rim of one of Sumter's ground-level embrasures and sent a cascade of masonry fragments into the casement, along with the spent ball. The fragments injured four men, none seriously." (The Demon of Unrest, Erik Larson, Crown Publishing Group, p. 440)

"Sumter became a cauldron of heat, smoke, and lacerating shrapnel. One soldier suffered a severe but not mortal injury, a large piece of shell tearing some frightful flesh wounds in his legs, Thomson wrote." (Larson p. 450-451)

Lincoln did not even call up troops till after Sumter. Meanwhile as soon as they left every Confederate state called up their militia.

Leaving is not war. What you don't understand is you are validating today, Trump invading Minnesota since that state is in open rebellion against the Government.

Compare it to now. Minnesota is in open rebellion against our Federal Government. under your theory, Trump can simply send his army to shut down the rebellion.
