NBC News Video of Police Officer SHOOTING Ashley Babbit on Jan. 6th

The angle he shot was no threat to hit the one other officer nearby.

Byrd didn't point his gun in the direction of any other officers. You're pathological and can't stop lying. Byrd pointed his gun at the broken out windows. The mob was to his right, not in front of him. There was one heavily armed cop in that mob. He too was to Byrd's right, not in front of him.

If truth and reality were on your side, you wouldn't have to lie like ya do.
The Swat team was in the stair well to the right of the doors, Faun. That would be directly behind where Babbitt was trying to kick out that window. When Byrd fired his weapon it was in the direction of that stairwell. It's why the Swat officer who is right there seconds after the shot is fired is training his weapon in Byrd's direction and not at the "mob"! He's not worried about them...he's worried about the asshole who just fired in his direction!

So the other police there in that hallway all stated that they saw Babbitt's hands and they were empty...yet you think it's "reasonable" for Byrd...who was closer than they were...to assume that she was armed? How do you arrive at THAT conclusion, Faun?

Byrd didn't see her until she appeared in that window frame.

It's obviously piss poor and I make that statement based on Lt. Michael Byer's actions that day! But should anyone be shocked that the guy who left his firearm in a public restroom is a joke when it comes to how you handle a weapon?

LOL

So when you said they are poorly trained, the truth seeps out that you actually have no idea what training they go through. :lmao:

If truth and reality were on your side, you wouldn't have to lie like ya do.

So it's OK to shoot protesters if they're conservatives who support the Second Amendment? Is that what you're admitting, Faun? It takes awhile with you far left liberals but sooner or later the truth DOES come out of your mouth!

No. It's ok to shoot anyone attempting to break into a room to go after lawmakers in the Capitol.

Byrd didn't see her until she appeared in that window frame.
The other officers all testified that they saw Babbitt and that her hands were empty. Byrd was even closer than they were so he would have also known that she had nothing in her hands yet he shot her anyways. You can't claim he did so because he was concerned she was armed, Faun! That excuse falls flat on it's face!

Dayum, you just can't stop lying. It's utterly insane.

Moron, that stairwell was nowhere near the direction Byrd fired. First if all, that stairwell was around a corner. But more salient, it was to his right. It wasn't in front of him. What was in front of him was a wall.

If truth and reality were on your side, you wouldn't have to lie like ya do.

The truth is that those protesters were not there to "go after" lawmakers...they were there to stop the certification process! That's obvious from what took place in the Senate Chamber. One can assume that the same thing would have happened in the House Chamber. You on the left have had to make the narrative that they were there to kill members of Congress because that makes Byrd's actions more reasonable but in reality a group of unarmed protesters were NEVER a threat to those lawmakers! There isn't a single example of a single lawmaker that had a hair on their heads disturbed yet you'll claim that they were in peril. Why? Because that gives you the moral high ground to lock protesters up for long periods of time for doing what liberal protesters had been doing for two solid YEARS with impunity.

You're not listening. You're just making shit up.

Again, Byrd didn't see her until she appeared in that window frame on his side of the doors. And then he fired immediately.

And I never said he shot her because he thought she was armed. He shot her because she was the first to make it that far and his concern was to keep that mob out.

But Babbitt wasn't breaking into the House Chamber...was she?

The stated goal of that mob was to get at lawmakers. They started breaking down the doors and windows the moment they perceived "they're leaving!" She was breaching the last last barricade between that mob and the House chamber where there was an unbarricaded door just feet away from where Ashes was shot.

The stairwell where those Swat Officers were standing is to the right of the doors, Faun. Byrd was firing from the right of the doors on his side of the barricade at a diagonal to where Babbitt was kicking out the window pane. At that angle he is firing in the direction of that stairwell. He's a moron. A moron that never should have had a gun in the first place.

The comment "They're leaving" was made long before they started breaking through the windows, Faun! At that point the three Capital Police officers are still standing between them and the doors. Did you even watch video of this? You seem clueless.

LOLOL

Yeah, why would anyone think a huge, violent mob, breaking into the Capitol, chanting "hang Mike Pence," was there to harm anyone?

If truth and reality were on your side, you wouldn't have to lie like ya do.

Is this the point where you claim they brought a "gallows" to do just that, Faun? Are you going to come with THAT bit of bullshit as well?

Yet when that "huge, violent mob" entered the Senate Chamber and found no politicians did they immediately start searching the building for them because they were there to "harm" them? No...they didn't do that at all, Faun! They stood around taking selfies of each other! The truth is that they were NEVER there to harm anyone...they were always there to stop the certification process! But that narrative isn't dramatic enough for you on the left when you're claiming that this was an "armed insurrection", is it?

You're lying again. It's on video.

At 33:30 in this video, you hear cries of, "they're leaving!" Followed by shouts of, "break it down!" And you can see the window is already cracked where someone had been punching it. Which he did while those 3 cops were standing in front of the doors.

Is this the point where you claim they brought a "gallows" to do just that, Faun? Are you going to come with THAT bit of bullshit as well?

Nope, your strawman fails you. I said nothing about that gallows. Regardless, it's undeniable that a large mob broke into the Capitol chanting, "hang Mike Pence!"

They got into the Senate Chamber and it was empty. That wouldn't have been the case on the House side had Byrd not heroically kept that violent mob out of the House chamber.

No it's not. Again, this occurred early on in the storming of the Capitol. Also, rioters were using other weapons to fight with police; like baseball bats, poles, bear spray. And it had earlier been reported on police radio that some were seen in that crowd outside carrying firearms. It was reasonable to assume anyone of them could have been armed.

It wasn't reasonable to assume a woman hanging halfway through a window could have, never mind use a firearm.

Sadly, you're still lying. There was no sign of panic. He drew his service weapon and didn't fire until someone stupidly almost got into the Speaker's Lobby. He didn't miss. He didn't discharge more than one shot. He didn't hit anyone else.

He was a panicky idiot, and he's being protected by Beria butt bois like you.
