NBC News Video of Police Officer SHOOTING Ashley Babbit on Jan. 6th

It's common knowledge, which you ignore because you get a fucking stiffy from someone you don't like politically getting shot by a trigger happy moron of a policeman.
The hell it is. That’s what pathetic losers say when they don’t have an actual argument.

The Capitol Police aren’t just law enforcement, they’re a protective detail like the secret service.

You think the secret service wouldn’t shoot someone smashing through a door trying to get to the president? Of course they would.

She had no weapons, and was a small woman.

Home self defense rules don't apply here, try again.
Not asking about “rules, I’m asking you to decide who is and isn’t a threat. What’s the difference in deciding if someone is a threat breaking into your house and if someone is a threat breaking into the Capitol where the members of congress are sheltering?

Your supposed causes are bullshit, and only based on setting an example for the others, as Babbit was not a threat.

Bullshit she wasn't a threat. That whole mob was a serious threat. She was the first to make it that far. The rest would have followed had she not been stopped. We saw that same mob mentality in other parts of the Capitol such as where Dominic Pezzola broke in... others in the mob followed in through a broken out window and then kicked the door open so others could flood in.

There was a violent mob beating down doors and windows to get at lawmakers who were still holed up inside the House chamber. The cops' job was to protect those people using any force necessary. Police were not fucking around with those schmucks and Byrd wasn't the only cop threatening to shoot them to keep them out.

And yet only one panicked officer pulled the trigger while no one else did.

Bad shoot.

She wasn't a threat. She could have easily been detained.

Again, show me where setting an example is a valid reason for deadly force use by a law enforcement officer.

Dumbfuck, how many times need you be told? Only one cop shot at one person because only one person breached a door or window.

It's s shame you can't post without lying. The truth is, there was a door to the House chamber directly in front of where Byrd was standing. It was about 5-10 feet away from where Ashes Targetpractice was shot. And it was NOT barricaded.

If Benedict Babbitt had only been a law-abiding citizen, she'd still be alive today.

And she heeded thd police warning to get back, she'd still be alive today.

Had she not fallen for Trump's Big Lie that the election was stolen, she'd still be alive today.

See how that works?
Ah yes...the "magic" warning that nobody can hear on a single audio from a single cell phone from ALL of the recordings that took place that day? The "magic" warning that three different police officers who were in the area when Byrd took his shot ALL said they didn't hear? Is that the warning you're referring to, Faun? The truth is that Byrd lied about what he did that day because he knows that he shot an unarmed protester without warning!

And that still doesn't justify the shoot.

He panicked and fucked up. But he gets defended because everything about J6 has to follow the lefty narrative.

There weren't many cops in that hallway. They couldn't have stopped that violent mob without opening fire on all of them had that violent mob broken through those doors. And had Byrd sought to detain Ashes Targetpractice, that would have been one cop less to deal with a rushing mob. Byrd is a hero who saved lives.

And good little Berias like Faun defend it because it fits his political jollies of watching people he disagrees with get shot.

Byrd was a panicked idiot cop who broke deadly use of force rules. And that got whitewashed because the powers that be decided it had to be that way.

They didn't need to open fire. Only one idiot breached their barricade.
They didn't need to open fire because they TALKED to the people who had broken out that window and told them that they almost got shot and needed to stop...something that Michael Byrd DID NOT DO! He didn't say a word to dissuade anyone from coming through that window...he just stepped out from hiding and shot someone without warning!

Because no one had used a firearm up until this point?

Babbit was halfway through a window, and unarmed.

LOL

That's not evidence no one was armed. You can't even form a cogent argument. It was only about a half hour after Trump's thugs broke into the Capitol and none of them walked through metal detectors. There was no way any cop knew who was or wasn't armed. And given that, and given the utter lawlessness of that violent mob, it was reasonable to assume any of them were armed.

I didn't see a whole lot of cops on that side of the doorway.

She was the tip of the spear and if that tip wasn't blunted the mob would have broken through. The guard felt the lives he was protecting would be in danger if he let the mob through.
Cops felt threatened and shot unarmed people not listening to them. It makes me very happy that the Left finally sees this is the same scenario for many of the protests and urban destruction they engage in. Also, the next time police are getting pushed on from mobs and or assaulted with bricks and bottles by a mob, they should fire towards the “tip of the spear “ to prevent further escalation. The Left finally gets it.

Not a single shot fired the whole time is pretty good evidence.

And even if she was armed, which she wasn't, she wouldn't have been able to use a firearm falling halfway through a window.

The Capital Police are nothing like the Secret Service, Marener! They deal with tourists looking for the bathroom most days...you know the place where Lt. Byers tends to leave his firearm when he isn't shooting unarmed protesters? They aren't well trained nor are they well led and you can see it in how Byers performed that day.

The two other Police officers in that hallway BOTH testified that they saw Babbitt's hands and that she was unarmed. Any claim that she was shot because she "might" have been armed is simply being put out there to excuse Byrd's actions.

It's reasonable to assume any of them were armed even though there isn't a single picture of a single protester inside of the Capitol brandishing a single fire arm? What pray tell would make THAT assumption in any way "reasonable"?
