NATO: Our International Welfare Queens...Why Are American Taxpayers Paying for Europe's Defense?

NATO is looking up if/when Sweden and Finland join.
Also, I'm hoping that Ukraine made NATO members step up more military & humanitarian aid.

The states of Europe have more than enough wealth and military potential to deal with a second-rate power like Russia. The American taxpayers, on the other hand, deserve a break from Europe's grifting

A couple of things I noticed the article glosses over or fails to mention.

First, comparing total military spending as a measuring stick to invalidate NATO is unfair. The US spends quite a lot on military adventures completely separated from NATO.

Second, quite a lot of military spending NATO members do are to the direct benifit of American companies. F35's aren't cheap and General Electric isn't a charity.
