Meadows: Trump considered yanking Kavanaugh over ‘I like beer’ comments and apologetic tone

oh come on. firing someone because they said i like beer? this makes me not like Trump

Bur NOT because of his embarrassing display at the hearings that showed the world he was unfit for the bench. Naturally.

If Trump was considering that I'm sure he didn't consider it for very long...Trump wanted to fill the Court seat and he had a list of worthy people to select from....

Trump thought that he could put people on the Supreme Court who would be loyal to him rather than the Consitution and the rule of law.

Where do you get that from?....that's nonsense...Trump wanted people that base their rulings on constitutional law not the latest fad of society...you TDS'ers say the strangest things....

Trump's issue is loyalty to him.. Always has been throughout his life.. It's been foremost in his life for over 40 years.. He explained it and his lust for revenge on Charlie Rose years ago. He discussed it ad nauseum with Richard Branson.. Trump is a malignant psychopath.

That is just total bullshit. The Heller decision was the epitome of judicial activism. And Scalia talked out of both sides of his mouth, while he pretended to be an "originalist" he was perhaps the greatest judicial activist the court has ever seen. Heller, Citizens United vs. the FEC, and Shelby County vs. Holder, glaring cases in point. And only amateur jurists would attempt to proclaim Trump was seeking "originalist", as you proclaim. He wanted real activists, and that is precisely what he got. His appointees are more than willing to ignore jurist prudence, ignore the Constitution itself, if they can perpetuate their own warped view of society in the process. That is the very definition of judicial activism.

That's what you have been convinced of but you can't point to any examples...you are brainwashed and you didn't even need to go to re education camp.....enjoy the Biden regime dummy....$5 gas in CA....ships still clogged up in CA....and now a zoom love fest between Putin and Biden....

It would be much tougher to find a Democratic SCJ that isn't an activist vs one that is. Liberalism is their religion. They rarely stray.

All indications are that Trump didn't give a shit who was on the court. That was one of the better things about Trump. He just took some suggestions from groups that were better at looking for a competent Judge and went with those.

Right, the only thing Trump knows about the law breaking it. He is not a constitutional law expert, like our last esteemed president before him
