At one time (2013) quite a number of Senate Repubs voted to pass a bill allowing for a path to citizenship for qualified applicants who were required to meet rigorous standards and wait over 10 years to obtain citizenship. It reflected the wishes of a majority of Americans (and still does).

Then Speaker Boehner refused to bring the bill to the floor of the House for a vote.

We do have a right and a duty to protect our own borders.

It is not racism to do so.

It might be necessary to use our military (in a very limited way) to assist our national immigration law enforcement. There is a law still on the books that might apply (and to the extent it is debatable whether that law goes so far as to substantiate his suggestion, that will require discussion and debate and perhaps court resolution).

It’s not at all “Nazi like” to put America first. Indeed, we elect our President to do precisely that. He or she isn’t elected to put Mexicans or Nicaraguans or Chinese people first.
