For all of you on here who claim that God raped Mary and forced her to conceive against her will not only is not only mistaken of who God is with His personality. After all He created free will, but Mary says to let it be done according to His word before the angel leaves and what woman wouldn't find honor in giving birth to the promised Messiah?

Movies aside, the conception of Jesus in Mary was a spontaneous act happening be divine will alone.

Here comes the "divine will" nonsense when you can't answer the question how it was done. "Oh, I just all of a sudden was pregnant." Just like God willed the universe into existence with no explanation how it was done. The seed of the Father was planted in one of Mary's eggs. Nothing miraculous about it. Heck, today we call it in vitro fertilization. No sex is necessary. And, Mary gave her consent.

ooh, this is the Mormon God who went around getting laid, eh?

mary joseph were made exemplars by the heavens as they were not afraid of the liar moses and their false commandments claimed from the heavens by moses as the initial repudiation of judaism and the true opening scene of the 1st century events.

their heavenly personification was an immediate influence for jesus who likewise disavowed judaism's false commandments, hereditary idolatry et al to rejoin the original religion of antiquity granted a&e and their pursuit for self determination and remission to the everlasting as equals to those already there.

Nothing in the Bible states that...

She was a little 14-year-old child, and it was her choice to do God's will, even though she knew it could mean her being stoned to death. The girl had guts. God Bless her.
A 14 year old can’t give consent

What woman wouldn't be honored to sleep with a famous Hollywood producer, or a billionaire, or a powerful politician, or a famous actor, or a rock star, or.....

I know, I just used that clip as an example. You can find Mary's response in Luke 1:38 too.

Yeah, no wonder people had questions. They all knew how babies are normally made back then just as much as we do. I would have doubts too about it .

Which part are you referring to?

She was a little 14-year-old child, and it was her choice to do God's will, even though she knew it could mean her being stoned to death. The girl had guts. God Bless her.

Yeah she did but since people died at an earlier age back then I don't think that fourteen was considered to be a child.

Is That Jewish custom late in the 1st Century BC? ...

Irish Lass refers to a legendary account of Mary and her upbringing ... Joseph in this account is middle aged and a widower, an elder of the Temple, already with adult children and grandchildren ...

The Catholic Church suppressed this since it portrays Mary with "itches" and unsuited for the pious lifestyle of a nun ... so she was married off to a gentleman of high degree ...

At times and in places right here in the United States, girls can be married off at 14-years-old ... sometimes younger ... so don't act shocked at the notion ...

George Washington didn't really chop down a cherry tree either.

Interesting that you ask----to wit "jewish custom". To cut to the chase---
IMO---no one really knows Mary's situation. She seems to have been an
adolescent. Jewish men at that time---amongst the poor which was most----
tended to have delayed marriages pending the ability to support a wife. An
interesting custom amongst oppressed people relates to raped girls. If they
came up pregnant the "custom" was to get them MARRIED QUICK. An older man would be a good choice including a widower. I got this stuff from hubby who was born in a Shariah shit hole where rape was virtually a norm of life

Mary boned another guy (God) and should have been stoned to death per Jewish Law. Oh shit,!
wrong---the idea that every sexual indiscretion was "DRAG 'em out and stone them is actually untrue. In fact the PHARISEES were entirely against the idea.
If Mary came up PREGGERS----she could easily and successfully claim RAPE. If the "correspondent" could be named---the whole problem could be mitigated by a shot-gun marriage. If the rapist is unknown---she could be married off to some guy who needed a wife (not a cohen) The "cast the first stone" and "go and sin no more..." is sufficient evidence that Jesus was a Pharisee
is fair tr
