Many are saying the Chiefs dynasty is done .. I disagree !

Bart Starr was the GOAT.
Blaster I would go with Johnny Unitas as the GOAT.Brady isnt even in the top 20 of all time,he never would have lasted one season in the era that Starr and Unitas played when you got thrown around like a rag doll so all this nonsense the media has that he is the goat can be laid to rest,,the wuss couldnt even take a mere hit to the knee without going down for an entire season, a hit Starr and Unitas took on a REGULAR basis back then, and got special treatment none of the other QBS had, played with a skirt on. I take Unitas as the GOAT but Starr playing in the era where REAL men played in same as all those quarterbacks from that era, were 20 times greater than him. yeah yeah players are bigger and stronger now than they were back then the brady apologists will say but that STILL does not change the FACT Brady got special treatment with a skirt put on him that none of the others had so this GOAT crap on brady has to stop now.:uhoh3:

Brady would NEVER have agrees to play in that era they played in,we know it,they know it,an era where you had to work TWO jobs to make a living,no way in hell would he have agreed.get serious.

when you have the luxary of getting special treatment none of the other quarterbacks get of having a skirt put on you, makes it much easier to win 7 superbowls, you could not even breath on Brady without getting flagged.fact

Like i said, brady would never have agreed to play in that day and age of starr and unitas when you not only got thrown around like a ragdoll but you had to work TWO jobs to make a living the NFL didnt pay shit back then.no way in hell would he have agreed,The wuss would NEVER have lasted one season back in that era when REAL men played quarterback.

there is a VERY GOOD reason why you saw this posted everywhere back then below when brady was playing.:abgg2q.jpg::yes_text12::happy-1::2up:

Prime Mahomes and prime Jones just got knocked out of the playoffs. 🤷‍♂️

Now Mahomes has a significant injury that very well may carry over into the next season. And they’re not getting any younger here.
the 49 ers ain't going to the SB this year ..

That’s what I’m asking. What’s the criteria?

I don’t know where the line is, but I would argue that if they win the Super Bowl next year then the dynasty lives on. If they have another season as bad as this next year, then the dynasty is dead. Agree or disagree?

(Assuming that Mahomes is healthy next year. I don’t think an injured Mahomes is an indication of their dynasty one way or the other if he’s not on the field.)

“What happens on the field” is kind of vague.
Mahomes tore his ACL .. luckily he didn't tear both his ACL and MCL like Brady did in 2008 and Brady was 2 yrs older than Mahomes is today .. ..even with a more severe injury Brady came back to win more SB's .. Brady was back on the field in 2009 after suffering a more severe injury to his knee .. NFL QBs get the best and most advanced medical and physical therapy money can buy .. a lot of players have come back from more severe knee injuries than Mahomes has suffered ..

especially in the 70s and 80s ! the players were jacked up on roids and were raging animals on the field ! though todays linemen are bigger the roid raging monsters of 70s and 80s were a terror !

I'm in my mid 50's. I'm starting to think the Lion's are NEVER going to win one in my lifetime. Ain't that a *****?

Yet I bet the ******* Chiefs win another one. Patriots too. Maybe even Green Bay. But not the Lion's.
Last year of any years, was the Lions chance to go all the way. The shock and dismay on the faces of the fans at their stadium when they played Washington in the playoffs was all you needed to see. They would have partied for a week if they got to and won the Super bowl.

Brady also never missed the playoffs in his prime while healthy. What’s Mahomes’ excuse?

Mahomes is no Brady.

Chiefs were off/on all year. Mostly off. I wrote them off early in the year as old & Slow.

I even questioned Andy Reid not making changes. Is he? Was he? stupily over-rated? Look at Bellycheck w/o a great QB. Pete Carrol put together a joke in OAK this year....the idiot chose Gino with Brady in the top office? Are they crazy?

Now he (Andy) will have to. Let's find out if he can oversee an overhaul? Yes, I have doubts? I remember his days in PHI.

You're right. Mahomes can move around, extend plays. He's no statue QB. Brady seldom had to. Brady was no Mahomes.

Different styles.

Both obviously have tremendous strengths that their coaches were able to build the offense around.

There were games or stretches of games where Brady or Mahomes could not get it done.

When the O-line or co-ordiator is no good? None of them are any good.

Mahomes has the edge on Brady IF you need a QB to scramble around. Duh

It's a team sport, obviously. Can't do it alone. And if you need a quarterback to be able to scramble, then Tom Brady isn't the guy you want. Hence why you need to build around the strengths of the quarterback you have. Duh.

Both Mahomes and Brady have had the luxury of having amazing coaches and amazing O-line.

In 2025, the Chiefs had three offensive linemen selected to the Pro Bowl.
In 2024, the Chiefs had two offensive linemen selected to the Pro Bowl.
In 2023, the Chiefs had three offensive linemen selected to the Pro Bowl.

Not to mention Kelce, who has been a pro bowl Tight End each of those years and is an excellent blocker on the end of the line.

Well? Are you sure? 2025 isn't over yet? The O-line has been wiped out the last two or three years to injury, correct? How do you go to pro-Bowl if you don't play? Did you miss the last SB?
There was no O-line.

KELCE stunk it up the last two maye three years for sure. Not helping on blocking?

The pro bowl is a joke. No one wants to go? Maybe by default?

I'm out.// sigh

Brady never had to pull his team out of the fire with the kind of running and passing that Mahomes has.

The is a huge difference in the two.

You can bet Mahomes will be the same guy mentally....but might just not have the extra step he needs
