Many are saying the Chiefs dynasty is done .. I disagree !

yeah I gotta admit I jumped the gun there writing them off saying this season is down the drain for them, saying they would be lucky if they made it to the playoffs as a wild card this year after the jacksonville lost.

Like the majority of the country,I thought this game was an automatic win for the Lions before the game began after that jacksonville game,In that jacksonville game,Mahomes did not even look like an NFL quarterback.that interception he threw that got ran back for a touchdown is something you only see in HIGH SCHOOL. horrible read,so unMahomes like.

Incredible the 180 degree turnaround they had from last week. They had help from the refs no doubt as others have pointed out,you dont go from 13 penaltys one week then ZERO the next, that doesnt happen no matter how good a coach you have. a handful or so but NOT zero.

However their offense was clicking against a GOOD team, you cant take that away from them.I said they had to beat a good team and their offense had to score over 30 points before they convinced me their dynasty was not over and they did just that. They went out and not only beat a GOOD team and scored 30 points,,but they beat a team everybody was calling the BEST team in the NFL no less.

they must have been looking ahead to the game against the Lions and overlooked the Jags because they looked MUCH better prepared than last week,Like you said, the Chiefs have caught on fire now recently and their offense reminded me of the OLD chiefs Offense that scored touchdown after touchdown and averaged 30 points a game. I said I did not care if they lost, that if they went out and put up 30 points against the LIONS,they are back on track again and sure enough they are because they indeed did JUST THAT.

Chiefs haters indeed need to face reality that the Chiefs are STILL the team to beat. I thought it was the Bills year this year but look at them, all of a sudden they dont look so great anymore.

I thought this would be the chargers breakout year after beating the chiefs and win the division but how do you go and lose to the GIANTS of all people? and also gave up over 30 points to the dolphins no less barely beating them?

Then there is the Broncos, they looked like THEY would be the division champs after beating the Eagles but what do they do? they go out and BARELY beat the Jets the WORST team in the NFL by just a field goal like 13 to 10 so they all of a sudden just like the Bills dont look so good right now either.

Until someone knocks off the chiefs from their thrown, they are still the team to beat.
Good points. And considering that Rashee Rice returns from his 6 game suspension in week 7, that will add yet another deep threat to their offense. If they can stay healthy, it appears that they have an excellent chance of turning their season around.

If KC wins next years SB will we say oh it’s potentially the start of a new dynasty or just a continuation of the old?

I'd say it's a continuation of the old.

If KC gets humiliated again next year by getting eliminated from the playoffs in Week 15, then is the dynasty over?

There your answer.

There's no way to judge the “end of a dynasty” after one season there are far too many things that can play out differently. And honestly who cares whether we think it’s over or not in the moment?

Part of that equation hinges on how quickly Mahones comes back from the torn ACL. If he misses significant time next year and they lose a bunch of games because of it I doubt the historians will end the dynasty regardless of what happens next year

That wasn't my question. IF, big IF, they come back and win the Super Bowl, I agree it's still on. But looks like they lost their mojo and I don't see it happening.

You seem to care since you're discussing this. If it can't be broken in one year, then how many years does it take to end a dynasty? How many shitty performances like this does it take for the dynasty to end?

More > than > 1 that's for sure! Remember NE's dynasty had 10 yrs. w/o a SB! KC just missed out on unprecedented success making 3 SB's in a row! A team is a sum of many parts! KC's been fractured, beat up, & worn down w/ a lot of field time and little time to really heal & reorganize! They're still suffering the loss of Tyreek Hill! He was such an idiot to leave The Chiefs! His handlers should've told him, the few extra $$ isn't worth leaving such a setup! :stir: :omg::confused:

Not winning the Super Bowl is one thing, but missing the playoffs entirely is another.

Tom Brady, at his peak, never missed the playoffs. He was only kept out of the playoffs early in his career and later on when he got hurt. The same can be said of Joe Montana. It was only injury or inexperience that stopped them from advancing to the playoffs.

Maybe.

But Kelce probably retires, Mahomes is going to need to rehab from that injury, Chris Jones isn’t getting any younger, and you’re no longer getting away with all those questionable calls.

You’ve had a nice run. It might be over.

KC will have to retool
All great teams do.

Mahomes and Andy Reid are still there.

Chris jones didn’t know they got eliminated Lolol

What a way for them to end the season.

Lost 3 in a row. Low 5 of the last 6 games. And Mahomes gets injured at the very end.

Dynasty over?
At least he doesn't have to finish out the rest of the season. I would have given his back up QB some playing time anyways. Patrick needs a rest.

Every year he has to play more games than everyone else because he goes far into the playoffs. This year he gets to end the season early. Come back healthy next year.

By the way, remember we were all saying Patrick has a long way to go to catch Brady? You see how hard it is to do what Brady did? Even if you are a great QB like Mahomes. Probably won't happen. Brady playing that many years and winning that many times was a fluke.

Yea exactly. See this is what pisses me off about the ******* Lions. We finally get good. Aaron Rogers finally leaves our division. We should own this division for years to come. NOPE. One year later already Chicago and Green Bay are better than us again. Didn't take them long to rebuild.

Patriots. Bill and Tom left. It will be 20 years before they are back on top again right? WRONG! ******* 11 and 3.

So as a Lion's fan, we had to wait out the Tom Brady era. Now that he's done, we will be better than the Patriots for years to come right? WRONG.
