You can make that argument against some amazing coaches like Bill Belichick and Bill Walsh. Were they great coaches or were they just at the right place at the right time? I would go with the latter. I just don’t think it’s possible for an NFL team to have that level of success, for that long, without a very good coach guiding that ship.

Reid, on the other hand, had a very good career with the Eagles. He made the playoffs with them several years, including some deep playoff runs and a trip to the Super Bowl. And I don’t think Donovan McNabb was very good. He got an upgrade at QB in KC and has had even more success.

That’s just what I think. How do you explain that Belichick and Reid are shitty coaches?

False on Walsh. He changed the game. The team. The league. Old time coaches had to adapt. Only his first SB was sort of close VS. CIN? To coach Whyche? Name? QB Anderson?

Walsh was an innovator. Opened the game with hook and lateral. Kicked his kickoffs bouncing into the ten yd area. CIN muffed at least two? Lost one right before half. Gave SF 3pts. They won by 3? Or 5? He set it up.

Old genius coaches, 2 runs up the middle. Try a pass. Fail. Punt. Walsh blew those kind out.

Completely revamped it. Put in Joe who could move. Blew right by the so called old guard great HOF coaches. 3 yd runs up the middle, smh.

I kinda think the chiefs dynasty is over at LEAST for one season anyways. they are going to have to do some MAJOR rebuilding to be a superbowl threat year after year again thats for sure,best thing that could happen to them is lose the rest of their games to have the highest draft pick possible for next year... Mahomes will never be the same threat as a running quarterback anymore and their general manager is overrated.I had won a bet with a friend of mine we took at the beginning of the year when i told him the chiefs would not only not win their division they would not make it to the superbowl again either. when they lost sneed at cornerback and tunney on the offensive line that was right up there as losses compared to not having Mahomes as your quarterback.

Tunney was their best offensive lineman,he played out of position to help the chiefs win their last superbowl. Sneed and tunney were difference makers ESPECIALLY tunney.Tunney has gone on to solidify the bears offensive line and has been a huge difference for the bears this year. you cant keep losing great players like that and expect to remain on top.Reid is an excellent coach but he is no miracle worker.

Never said "shitty coaches" just not ready to put them on mt. Rushmore like the dirty media conned the Stain. They did not screw it up for certain. I give that much. They helped it happen.

I said Bellicheck was great on defense and had great line play. Who gave him the players on those lines? Who were his assistants?

Who allowed them to steal the tuck rule BS over OAK or they don't get started ? Snowplow gate? The league pushed them thru also.

They were allowed to mug STL wide outside all 1st half or they don't win the 1st one. The league again. Big east coast market.

the difference is NONE of those others had MULTIPLE scandal after scandal,their coaches did not illegally have spygate,deflategate the refs congratulating them after winning a playoff game patting them on the back afterwards.

most the teams that played them in the superbowl accused them of taping their practices illegally as well and i dont ever recall those other home teams having the headsets go out for the visiting teams but never happening to the home teams in their ballparks either,gee wonder WHY they had such a great home record all those years? or other quarterbacks like peyton manning saying they talked about their game plan elsewhere because they felt their plays were being listened to in the visitors locker room.

yeah that was so obviously a fumble that tuck rule that gave them the game,Like i just got done saying, the list goes on and on and on with the multiple scandals they were involved in and as you said so well,NO PUNISHMENT either. brady is the only hall of SHAME quarterback to get suspended for his actions ON THE FIELD.

Thats what i have said many times over the years on the refs allowing the pats players to MUG the Rams recievers in the superbowl. Rams reciever Issac bruce said he had NEVER played in a game before where the refs allowed the other players to mug him as they did in that superbowl, a former NFL ref also came out and said it was the worst officiated football game he ever witnessed.

Granted Reid was smart enough to install mahomes and did not screw it up. They would have lost SB to SF w/o mahomes 45 yd wounded duck punt-psss caught in desperation time. It was way off target too. SF lost sight of it?

Bellicheck had to lose Bledsoe to get lucky. Good on defense he is.

It's a team sport, obviously. Can't do it alone. And if you need a quarterback to be able to scramble, then Tom Brady isn't the guy you want. Hence why you need to build around the strengths of the quarterback you have. Duh.

Both Mahomes and Brady have had the luxury of having amazing coaches and amazing O-line.

In 2025, the Chiefs had three offensive linemen selected to the Pro Bowl.
In 2024, the Chiefs had two offensive linemen selected to the Pro Bowl.
In 2023, the Chiefs had three offensive linemen selected to the Pro Bowl.

Not to mention Kelce, who has been a pro bowl Tight End each of those years and is an excellent blocker on the end of the line.

Every team is going to have a weak link on their line. They deserve no sympathy as they’ve had it better than most in that department.

Additionally, can’t blame the coaching staff as they have some of the very best in the business.
