Actually my grandfather lived in Detroit, was a loyal Lions fan for years and when I visited him, he used to take me to see them play at Briggs in the 60's and then in later years to the Silverdome, so I remember seeing lots of fans who remained committed to the team during some very bad years.
I think that the way the team has steadily improved under Campbell since his arrival in 202l, by going 9-8 (2022), 12-5 (2023), and a franchise-record 15-2 (2024)
is very encouraging, and when Andy Reid retires, I would be ecstatic to see him come to KC to take his place.
