Proud of my Home Town

Its all about the corporate dollar...corporations do not care nor are they moral. It is what it is.

Apparently neither are the states offering up these sweetheart deals. And they're supposed to.

Giving breaks to corporations results in loss. If they want in fine, let em pay to get in.

The Raiders have moved 4 times now. Other teams have too, but the Raiders hold the record by one.

The Rams have likewise made 4 moves: Cleveland/LA/St Louis/LA

Turning to other sports and their franchise moves, a couple come to mind.

In baseball my thought goes to the A's. Philadelphia/Kansas City/Oakland/Sacramento/Las Vegas. I recall how strange attending a Cleveland Indians game and seeing Rocky Colavito playing for the Kansas City A's.
I'm not too familiar with basketball and hockey. Know of 4 cities that have called the Royals/Kings home, 5 if counting separately their split of games between Kansas City and Omaha.

Exactly. And it's one of my biggest beefs with the way the taxation power is used, federally or at the state level.
Does your beef date back to FDR and 1935 when he rolled out welfare as we know it and forced taxpayers to fund individuals?

The same thing goes regularly, as states compete for financial investment and corporate attention. This is exactly why the Commerce Clause is in The Constitution. It's right and proper for the federal government to intervene. Equal protection is a national value that all states must adhere to.
Municipalities/states typically weigh the long term economic benefit to the city/state when considering special treatment for sports teams or businesses. Not to do so is negligent.

What I do find amusing is the fans pay multiple taxes for everything going to a game! The cities, states must profit hugely, hotels restaurants gas money. It does become an investment for the city for the tax revenues. Seems odd they would willing give up that revenue

I don't care. Discriminatory taxation policy is a gross violation of equal protection. No one should get a "special deal".

Taxes should be used for funding legitimate government functions, not manipulating society.

I don't think government should give special breaks and "free shit" to anyone,
Got you down for eliminating welfare, SNAP, foreign aid, etc……

You will be real popular with your Cult in that one. :auiqs.jpg:

I live in a predominately white community with very little crime.

Chicago Cardinals to STL to PHX. Correct? Without looking it up.

Bill Bidwell a bad 60s' 70s' owner. Despised and hated for not getting enough in the Air Corryell years. Big arm Jim Hart...statue at QB but with a cannon arm. The were cheated in th 80s? At WASH playoff game (under Jim Hanifan) on a bogus roughing the passer call (Theisman sacked with the ball) but he threw him down too hard? Huh? He swung him around 369 and launched him backwards. Clean tackle.

But media darlings always given a pass in those days with less coverage? Small markets go home.

Maybe they actually have principles.

My Cult? WTF are you talking about? I don't belong to a cult.

15th post
To generate more tax revenue. Are you trying to make a point? Keep trying.
How do you suppose they do that? Invite them
