The Confederacy began much earlier than the third flag in which candycorn uses. If we define the confederacy as a five year period, the confederate flag (the democrat south) flew only two years.

Barack's heritage, history, is not traced to the Confederacy.

You could say, that Barack's history begins in Hawaii, in 1960,
but in no way does Obama trace his lineage to African Americans.

Although I will say that there really should be no "other side"....the Confederacy--by definition--were traitors. Yet the group that throws that phrase around so casually today are the largest supporters of the confederacy.
