On May 27th AOC participated in a large gathering for the Muslim holiday Eid al-Adha. In so doing, she taught us something about her and something about Islam. First among them was that Muslim men couldn’t give a damn.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was seemingly ignored by attendees at an Eid al-Adha event, with fellow participants loudly talking over her, according to a viral video.
The Representative went to a celebration of the Muslim holiday with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in the Bronx on Wednesday, during which she wore a scarf as a hijab.
Mamdani, the city’s first Muslim mayor, wore an Arsenal kurta, and AOC wore a head covering as she spoke.
A clip of her speech has since gone viral, showing her speaking about ‘solidarity,’ urging the crowd to be devoted to their neighbors and community to ‘bring light into the darkness.’
Ocasio-Cortez’s speech was muffled by background noise and attendees speaking among themselves.
Some claimed that the clip was ironic considering the theme of her speech, with one writing on X, ‘While AOC was preaching “solidarity” in her hijab, the male-only crowd ignored her and spoke over her.’

She took the knee to Islam, put on the hijab and they ignored her, because Islam is at its core a misogynist religion.
I find this all entertaining as AOC has staked out positions on women's rights and DEI (Grok):
- Women's rights: Strong advocate for abortion access (co-sponsored Women's Health Protection Act), equal pay, paid leave, workplace safety, and framing issues through "patriarchy." She's called out perceived threats to women, supported #MeToo-era accountability, and argued men benefit from advancing women's rights.
- DEI and intersectionality: Regularly champions gender equality alongside racial diversity, civil rights, and protections for marginalized groups (including women of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+). Her platform emphasizes structural barriers for women, especially "Black and Brown, immigrant, Muslim, queer and trans women."
Women are allowed to participate in Islamic traditions- just not with the guys. And she has said not a word about it since. She’s happy trying to garner the support of Muslim men who will then go home and tell their wives how to vote.
Commentary:
Considering the status of women in Islam, what was she doing there in the first place with an all male event?
It amazes me that liberal female women somehow want to curry favor with Islam. Considering how Islam treats women, you might think such liberal women would be aghast how Islam is making inroads into this country.
They’re all laughing at the foolish Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the Muslim Brotherhood ordered women to start wearing the hijab or else.
She has no clue that their goats mean more to them than her
AOC would go on chattering her witless positions until they slit her throat.
The common goal of Muslims is to destroy western civilization, then it is Commies vs Muslims.
Meanwhile in the West, we cannot even define "What Is A Woman?"
