It's the Ocean not the Atmosphere, dummy!

Dominated is not the same as the only controlling factor, dumb ass. The reality that I'm not an NFL quarterback is dominated by the fact that I was never interested in trying that. The fact that I'm old is also a pretty big factor. There can be lots of contributing factors, some more determinative than others, but all contribute to the outcome.
Does this look like what dominated should look like? Because I'm really curious which body of heat - the atmosphere or the ocean - is the dominant heat source of the planet. Which body of heat do you believe transfers heat to the other one? Now what stupid ass thing were you saying, dummy?

Are you really trying to say the oceans and the atmosphere aren't interconnected? That changing one doesn't change both?

No, I'm saying you are blowing the connection out of proportion. The sun heats the ocean. The atmosphere's contribution to heating the ocean is negligible. So it's the sun which drives the changes in ocean water density (i.e. salinity and thermal expansion). That and wind, which is also driven by the sun. You haven't studied any of this. I have. You are shooting from your hip. I'm not.

Perhaps you should go back and see what I actually wrote before having a tantrum.

That's not a tantrum. That's me stating reality.

But if you are arguing the ocean does drive climate then we are in agreement even if your prior posts made it sound like we were not.

That's why you should pay attention to what is actually written instead of letting your childish mind fill in the gaps that you seem to miss.

So glad you agree with me. Maybe net time be more clear. Especially when the connection is immaterial.

Sorry, my mistake. I should have known someone from the children's table needs every aspect of what is said to be explained. Making sure you understand all that is said before going off on a tangent is another skill you need to hone before you are allowed at the adult table.

Talk about science deniers, yeesh.

You told me to fuck off, remember? ... do you have any formal education is oceanography, atmospheric science or any of the fluid dynamics fields of study? ...

Didn't think so ...

The stupidity is there is no convection in the oceans ... none at all ... the sun heats the surface, on top, and hot water floats ... so the hot water stays on top, evaporating to maintain equilibrium ... no convection ... science my friend, you should stop denying it ...

Stupider ... your hydrosaline circulation is caused by freezing water (at 32ºF) rejecting the salt content, the remaining salt water is saltier, thus denser, and sinks in the water column (still at 32ºF) ... that water must warm up as it falls to match the 39ºF sea floor temperature ... ha ha ha ... absorbing energy out of the water ... ha ha ha ...

The same mistake The Chick makes ... you should be ashamed of yourself ... the only excuse I see is the Atlantic is totally pussy as far as oceans go, try living along the Pacific, which is anything but Pacific ...

Cut Ropey some slack. I'm sure he discussed his claims at the children's table before he made his post and most of them agreed with him.

Surface currents are 200 times stronger than the hydrosaline circulation ... so surface currents are the energy transport mechanism ... you know, where the energy is ...

Sorry .. I was told to go fuck off ... I should probably be quiet eh? ...

Just when it sounds like you meant the opposite of what you were saying.

You could have said, yes, the ocean does drive climate first, but you didn't. Now fuck off because you really don't know anything you are talking about.

While fucking off ... I noticed you're still making the same obvious mistake ... you're not lying here are you? ... your bold statements in the OP are wrong ... and you know it ... why you keep telling me to fuck off ...

Winds drive ocean currents ... and winds are caused by the Earth's rotation and solar irradiation ... climate drives the ocean ... the children are having you think backwards ...

Currents can be driven by wind and density changes. It's not an either or proposition. Effectively the sun drives salinity and density changes through uneven heating. Eventually the currents must change to equilibrate. Nature abhors a vacuum or some such shit.

Your comprehension on how salinity is changed in ocean waters and what currents that drives need some serious work.

Density is caused by gravity ... are you seriously suggesting gravity is changing over climatic time periods ... talk about fruit loops ...

"Uneven heating" ... are you suggesting the sun flickers ... or is that the sugar pops talkin' ...

Sorry .. I should be fucking off ... don't want to let basic science interfere with your nonsense ... now do we? ... God forbid water should seek his own level ...
