Seems a pretty dramatic climate change event shaped my entire landscape thousands of years ago carving lakes, rivers and a stunning northern landscape that we currently enjoy that otherwise wouldn't be possible since it was under a mile of ice.

Well, this is what seems to happen all the time. We go through a 100,000 to 120,000 year cycle. We warm up rapidly, and then such a thing happens and then the Earth cools and goes into an ice age.

Nothing abnormal about this.
