It's on! US Supreme Court allows Texas to arrest illegals

You are totally misinformed! Intentionally likely, or too lazy to find out what was actually in the bill....
Yeah, true! That's why this bipartisan Senate border bill, was a miracle! ;)
What Bill did Trump and Governor Abbott need passed in order to do the right thing for American citizens?
I notice you keep avoiding this question…why might that be?

How is this "Immigration" legislation?

What’s in the Senate’s sweeping $118 billion immigration and foreign aid bill?
Updated on Feb 6, 2024
[...]

Total size: $118.3 billion. That includes:
  • About $60 billion in military aid for Ukraine
  • $14.1 billion in aid for Israel
  • $4.83 billion in aid for the Indo-Pacific region
  • $10 billion in humanitarian assistance for Ukraine, Israel, Gaza, among other places
  • $2.3 billion in refugee assistance inside the U.S.
  • $20.2 billion for improvements to U.S. border security
  • $2.72 billion for domestic uranium enrichment

To be TRANSPARENT, don't you think there should be a foreign aid bill and a separate immigration bill? Shouldn't we be spending as much or more on securing our borders as we do on the borders of other countries?

Biden sued to stop them from protecting their border, but today the SC removed the block. Texas can now detain or arrest illegal aliens.

Stuff that in your pipe and smoke it, Joe Biden.

"WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court ruled Tuesday that it will allow Texas to enforce for now a contentious new law that gives local police the power to arrest migrants.

The conservative-majority court, with three liberal justices dissenting, rejected an emergency request by the Biden administration, which said states have no authority to legislate on immigration, an issue the federal government has sole authority over."

Supreme Court allows Texas to enforce immigration law
Heavens, Democrats are gonna start crying, they were banking on the extra votes flooding in.

Blame Republicans

They are the ones who insisted that none of those foreign aid packages would be approved without a border bill.
So, Dems coordinated a border bill with Republicans and tacked it on with foreign aid.

Now Republicans want it separated….Make up your mind

Whose fault is that?

The GOP has been obstructionist since Obama was elected.

Democrats cooperated with George Bush.
Republicans refused to cooperate with Obama on any bill regardless of how badly it was needed. Obama must fail strategy.

In return, Dems refused to cooperate with Trump who also refused to negotiate with Democrats.

Biden has been the most bipartisan President since Bush

They are willing to, but Rs chose not to pass the legislation that would have funded the protection, and permanently put in place legislated border policy consistent from one president to another instead of this roller coaster crap from one President to another President via executive order actions....

I'm not certain what level of bad element is making it through, but the bill directed those seeking asylum to the port of entries, and made it where those attempting outside of border port of entry crossings, will nix their chance to seek any legal asylum avenues...

This would ease up the attempts to cross outside of the legal border crossing ports of entry for the legitimate asylum seekers and the border control agents would be able to focus on solely the bad guys trying to cross illegally with their drugs without being caught.....
That was a terrible Bill for immigration, it didn't stop the flow, just slowed it down slightly.
Read the fine print, Care. It was an open border's dream for a Bill.

It was the most significant immigration bill in decades
It included important provisions to reduce the flow of immigrants and speed the hearings of migrants seeking asylum

It would have passed if Republicans allowed it to come to a vote.

It still wasn't a good Bill to shore up the border, just reduced it.
I could care less if there was RINO's who would have voted for it.
Get the borders down to a trickle with illegals crossing.

That Bill was a an open borders dream Bill. The democrats wouldn't have wanted it if it wasn't.

Compared to what?
Republicans had a chance to make tougher standards for Asylum, accelerate Asylum hearings from years to months, provide funding for cities housing migrants , enhanced fentanyl screening, reductions of migrants from over 10,000 a day down to 5,000 or less, more border guards.

Instead…..Republicans got NOTHING

10,000 down to 5,000? Yeah....that's a success. :laughing0301:
Republicans will get something, just have to be patient

Yes it is
So now you have 10,000….what is your end game?

After sabotaging the good faith of Democrats in a bipartisan effort, you think you will get a better deal?

You think Trump will get a better offer?

:laughing0301:

The new law already put on hold. It's not much different than the Arizona law that Jan Brewer pushed in the past.

"Hey, that guy looks like an illegal" "Arrest him"
