In a Republic, actually
“In November, the Texas legislature enacted Senate Bill 4 to empower state law enforcement to arrest suspected undocumented immigrants. First-time offenders face six months of imprisonment, while second-timers can be incarcerated for up to 20 years.

Texas prisons are already overcrowded, inhumane spaces. During last year’s heat wave, more than 40 prisoners died when temperatures in some prisons skyrocketed above 130 degrees. Undocumented immigrants would have to choose deportation to avoid these conditions.

Though framed in racially neutral terms, S.B. 4 is unmistakably racist. Like earlier laws, S.B. 4 would authorize further racial profiling of Latinos — including citizens and permanent residents — by law enforcement, well beyond the border.

S.B. 4 is a disastrous rejection of settled law. Historically, immigration enforcement has been a federal power, and the Supreme Court has affirmed this position. This tracks with the vision of the Framers, who anticipated the federal government should regulate the nation’s borders.”

S.B. 4 is racist madness and idiocy – its most idiotic, lawless provision allowing state judges to ‘deport’ non-citizens, something state judges have no authority to do, something that violates US treaty obligations, that could ‘deport’ eligible asylum seekers, and that is clearly un-Constitutional.

Illegal entry into the country means it's......illegal Mrs. Jones.
If you don't like the law, there is a lawful way to change it.
Allowing illegal aliens into the country illegally...is not the way.

So I wonder when will these new slaves call for reparations?...

Holy crap! Wanting a secure border is racist to a fascist, like you.

Have you ever been to TX? Apparently not. Hispanics make up the lion's share of the legal population. Your habit of framing everything as being "racist" shows you to be the racist. It defines YOU.
Historically, immigration enforcement has been a federal power, and the Supreme Court has affirmed this position.
Historically, previous administration--minus Obama's, have made serious attempts at securing that border. It has not been until the current regime that they have thrown the doors wide open with publicized invitations to ANYONE to flaunt US law. This admin is criminally liable for a multitude of felonies in their border response. TX is in the right to enforce their borders because the globalist democrats are encouraging this invasion.

Readers, this shows that poster knows nothing about either topic !!!!
False on all statements in the last paragraph

1) States have all police powers under the Constitution. And Feds only have deputed powers.
In United States constitutional law, the police power is the capacity of the states to regulate behavior and enforce order within their territory for the betterment of the health, safety, morals, and general welfare of their inhabitants.

2) A non-citizen has no right of non-deportation.
The Supreme Court, however, has suggested that the extent of due process for aliens present in the United States “may vary depending upon [the alien’s] status and circumstance Zadvydas, 533 U.S. at 694.

3)US treaty obligations....Is the poster on drugs :)

By classifying deportation as a “civil” penalty, the Court held that immigrants facing removal are not entitledto the same constitutional rights provided to defendants facing criminal punishment. It is for this reason thatimmigrants facing deportation today are not read their rights after being arrested, are not provided an attorneyif they cannot afford one, and are not permitted to challenge an order of removal for being “cruel and unusualpunishment.”

He hasn't framed everything as racist, but this policy is racist. Those like you want to deny anything racist and then make up racism where it isn't. Obama was called the deporter and chief. He had the border at 40 year lows when Trump came in. And what did Trump leave Biden? A mess. There is no invasion and like I will continue to say:
