Zone1 Is the bible and other holy books the word of God, or the word of men?

I say it is the word of men, and not of God. The bible has been edited by men over the centuries, and numerous versions of it exist. Who wrote it?

the difference, your's is jesus as a messiah that is able to be attached to somehow to save oneself - without a shred of evidence ... than jesus as a path to follow - liberation spoken theology, self determination to attain judgement and admission to the everlasting.

It requires belief in the Holy Spirit, which those outside the Catholic church don't much recognize outside of listing it.

The one unified (thus "Catholic") Church is promised to always be led or corrected by the holy spirit. Catholicism (aka Christianity) has indeed been hijacked by men in history at times. There have been anti-popes and those that are controlled by monarchs, tyrants, and families.

But, it's always course-corrected. It requires faith in Christ. The moment you partake in your outlook means that you can't trust anything in Bible.. and I mean anything. Because, any part of it could have been manipulated by men, and there's some secret Christian message that all so often only happens to reside in some person who is bringing the claim. Some guy online is going to tell Thomas Aquinas he's wrong? Sorry, not happening.

I was doing exactly that back in the 60s. Catholic education all the way including 4 years with the Jesuits. All the holy books are written by men, not god. Surely the most disgusting of the holy books I've read are the Torah and Talmud.
